There is a kind of calligraphy in history called "true calligraphy", which was once very popular. It refers to the transitional regular script from Han and Wei Dynasties to Sui and Tang Dynasties, also known as "true script". The famous Weibei is a true book.
The ancients loved to fight neatly, which should be another way of writing with both "running script" and "cursive script". I guess this should refer to the real book, not "The Book of Yan Zhenqing".
