1. Ma Shitu’s representative works: "Underground", "Ten Stories of a Night", "Ten Years of Vicissitudes", and "The Song of the Qingjiang River".
2. Ma Shitu, male, whose real name is Ma Qianmu, was born in Zhongxian County, Chongqing in January 1915. He is a contemporary Chinese writer, poet and calligrapher; together with Ba Jin, Zhang Xiushu, Sha Ting and Ai Wu. They are called the "Five Elders of Sichuan".
3. In 1936, he was admitted to the Department of Chemical Engineering of Nanjing Central University and started literary writing at the same time.
4. In 1945, graduated from the Department of Chinese Literature of Southwest Associated University. In 1949, he served as a member of the Chengdu Military Control Commission, a member of the Party Committee of Western Sichuan District and deputy director of the Organization Department. In 1958, he was ordered to prepare for the establishment of the Sichuan Branch of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and served as secretary of the party committee and vice president of the branch. In 1960, he published the short story "The Third Sister". In 1961, he published the novel "Qingjiang Zhuangge". In 1980, he was elected as the chairman of the Sichuan Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Writers Association and published a collection of memoirs, "Jing Xing Ji". In September 1986, he served as vice president of the Chinese Poetry Society.
