Understanding of educational probation

Educational practice is a transitional link between normal students' learning educational theory and educational practice. Its main purpose is to strengthen students' understanding of the current situation of basic education, preliminarily understand the general laws of basic education and teaching, deepen their understanding of subject education theory learning, create conditions for educational practice, and then lay a good foundation for students to adapt to education and teaching as soon as possible after graduation.

Educational probation is conducted in Shanghai's base schools, usually in the fifth and sixth semesters, assisted by off-campus part-time tutors. Its main contents are:

1. Invite free part-time tutors of normal students or experts in teaching methods inside and outside the school to hold expert lectures, introduce the current situation of middle school education and the latest trends of teaching reform, teach the working art and teaching methods of class teachers, and let students establish a sense of "role" as soon as possible; Provide systematic guidance for students to carry out skills training related to education and teaching, such as "guiding skills", "questioning skills", "writing on the blackboard", "explaining concepts" and "giving examples".

2. Through special forms of probation such as school experience, teaching observation and classroom participation, we can understand the classroom teaching, the work of the head teacher, the organization of extracurricular activities, teaching research and other contents of basic education.

3. To carry out study lectures and research lectures, learn from the rich teaching experience of old teachers, explore the characteristics and laws of classroom teaching, explore the methods and strategies of classroom teaching, learn from each other's strong points and improve teaching methods. By listening to demonstration classes (watching videos or attending lectures on the spot), listening to introductions and comments, we can learn teachers' classroom teaching art, understand the teaching situation, learn teaching methods and skills, and be familiar with the methods of preparing lessons and compiling teaching plans; During the probation period, I can help students to teach themselves and correct their homework so as to be familiar with all the teaching links; Understand the syllabus, courses and teaching materials.

4. By observing the regular classroom training and the rules of students' activities in the classroom, as well as students' compositions, diaries, homework, test papers, achievement books and other materials, we can understand the students' learning situation; The content of understanding should also include students' learning interests, hobbies, habits, knowledge and ability. Observe the class's educational activities for one day, including morning reading, morning exercises (recess exercises), recess activities, extracurricular activities, etc. Be familiar with the daily work of the class teacher and keep a trainee diary.
