Linqing has numerous celebrities, including Tang Dynasty musician Lu Cai, famous Ming Dynasty poet Xie Zhen, anti-Japanese national hero Zhang Zizhong, academic leader Ji Xianlin, famous painter Zhang Yanqing, etc., who are all outstanding representatives of the Linqing people.
Lü Cai (600-665) was born in Qingping, Bozhou (now Linqingdong, Shandong). Philosopher and musician in the early Tang Dynasty.
Xie Zhen (1495-1575) was named Mao Qin, also known as Simingshanren and Tuoyishanren. A great poet and famous writer during the Jiajing and Longqing years of the Ming Dynasty.
Chaozao (?—1599) was a native of Linqing, Shandong, Ming Dynasty. Basket weaver.
Zhang Zizhong (1891-1940), also known as Xinchen, was born in Tangyuan Village, Linqing City, Shandong Province. A famous anti-Japanese patriotic general and commander-in-chief of the 33rd Group Army of the National Revolutionary Army.
Ji Xianlin (1911-2009) was a native of Qingping County (now Linqing), Shandong Province. He is an academic leader, a famous paleographer, linguist, literary translator, and an expert in Sanskrit and Pali. He once served as a professor at Peking University, chairman of the Academic Committee of the Chinese Academy of Culture, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He has made many achievements in research on the history of Indian language and literature.
Zuo Liangyu, courtesy name Kunshan, was born in Wuli Village, Linqing City. A general in the late Ming Dynasty.
Jin Zhuonan (1882-1976), also known as Jin Kuisheng, also known as Qiupu Jushi, was born in Xiang in the late Qing Dynasty and was a native of Jinhaozhuang, Linqing City. He has successively served as a member of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a researcher at the Provincial Museum of Literature and History, and a guzheng professor at Nanjing University of the Arts and Shandong Art College (now Shandong University of the Arts).
Hei Bolong (1915-1989), formerly known as Hei Yuanji, was a native of Qianguan Street, Linqing City. He has taught at the China Art College and Shandong University of the Arts for many years and is deeply respected by the art education community. He was elected as the Vice Chairman of the Shandong Artists Association, a member of the Provincial CPPCC, and a member of the Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
Uncle Fang Yuanhuan (? - 1620), also known as Liangjiang, was from Linqing. A famous writer and calligrapher in the Ming Dynasty.
Wu Qiuhui (1896-1927), formerly known as Wu Guihua, who called himself Wei Yisheng, was an outstanding historian and philologist in my country in the 1920s.
Zhang Baoyi (1917-1989) was a famous dramatist, national first-level director, member of the Chinese Dramatists Association, special editor and reviewer of "Chinese Drama Chronicles Yunnan Volume", and deputy director of the Art Office of the Yunnan Peking Opera Theater .
Liu Zhenya (1911-1934) was born in Lutang Village, Linqing City. Died in the Anti-Japanese War.
Zhang Yanqing (1917-2007) was originally named Huan, with the courtesy name Jianjin and the title of Master of Fuyuzhai. Member of the Chinese Artists Association, he has served as executive director of the Shandong Branch of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and deputy leader of the CPPCC Calligraphy and Painting Group, librarian of the Shandong Provincial Literature and History Research Center, vice president of the Shandong Elderly Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, and calligraphy and painting of veterans of the Jinan Military Region Consultant of the research association, professor of Shandong Branch of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Correspondence University, professor of Shandong University for the Elderly, and president of Qilu Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute.
