Wuxi one-day tour introduction

Wuxi has always been a famous fertile land and a national historical and cultural city. And it only takes two hours from Shanghai to Wuxi, and the culture of Wuxi is Wuyue culture. Wuxi is also the birthplace of the Southern Jiangsu model. How about a place like this? Not interested.

It is very convenient to get to Wuxi from Shanghai. There are high-speed trains and high-speed trains at Shanghai Station and Hongqiao Station. Train D636 originating from Shanghai Hongqiao arrived at Wuxi Railway Station from 6:33 to 7:26. Because I went to Wuxi early to have breakfast, I must eat steamed buns when I come to Wuxi.

I chose the Xiaolaixi (Chunshen Road) store and took two bus stops from the train station to get there. Just at the intersection, you can see Minsheng Bank. I ordered two liang of small steamed buns and a bowl of fresh wontons. These little cages are juicy, have a sweet skin, thin filling and great flavor. Spend 30 yuan. Every time I returned to Shanghai from Wuxi, I always brought back several boxes of cages, and over time I became addicted.

After breakfast, return to Wuxi Railway Station and take Leyou Line 2 to the first attraction of this trip: Nianhua Bay in Lingshan Town. Le Line 2 is the shuttle bus from the train station to Lingshan Scenic Area. Passing by: Central Station, Huishan Ancient Town (Guhuashan Road), Meiyuan (Kaiyuan Temple), Nianhua Bay, and Lingshan Scenic Area. The journey takes approximately one and a half hours. Adult ticket: RMB 120.

Ticket price: 10 yuan/person (student card, senior citizen card, senior citizen card and other special cards are not supported)

Located between the mountains and rivers of Mashan National Scenic Area in Binhu District, Wuxi, it is another masterpiece of Lingshan Group that took five years to complete after the Lingshan Brahma Palace. Opened on November 14, 2015. The name "Huadian Bay" comes from the classic story of Buddha Huadian and Ye Jia smiling at the Lingshan Meeting on the one hand, and on the other hand it comes from the magical landscape where it is located, which looks like a five-leaf lotus.

The overall architectural style of the town is very similar to Nara, Japan, and is integrated into the unique water system of the Jiangnan town in China, creating a unique architectural style and immersing the entire town in a beautiful artistic conception. The small town of Nianhua Bay is adjacent to Lingshan Scenic Area. The town has an antique style and a Zen theme.

During the day, you can take a look at the Zen Music Hall, Baihua Hall, Miao Yintang, Huadian Hall and other buildings. At night, you can take pictures of the silent night scene of Huadian Bay and watch a strange 3D water screen movie on Huadian Lake. The small town is dotted with small bridges, flowing water and small gardens, which is especially suitable for vacation, leisure and self-cultivation.

Nianhua Tower

Huadian Tower: Huadian Tower is a pavilion-shaped five-story tower with wind and wood structure. The fourth floor is composed of Xumizuo, tower body and pagoda. It has straight window lattice, double-lip tiles, corner arches, vertical pillars, etc. Let Huadian Tower become simple and elegant; its eaves are far-reaching, unreachable and full of wind. The pagoda is 27.98 meters high and has four gates in the southeast, northwest and northwest. The pagoda is 21.28 meters high and the pagoda is 6.7 meters high. It consists of a bowl, lotus leaves, wheels, canopy, three-flowered banana leaves, orbs, brake chains and phoenix flowers. It is made of brass with gold foil. Nianhua Tower is the highest point on Xiangyuehua Street, the main district of Nianhuawan Town. It is a simple and majestic combination of tradition, Japanese style and Zen.

The big moon in the Brahma Flower Sea

It took more than an hour to get out of the park. It's okay as a tourist attraction, because the scenery here is newly built, and Nianhua Bay has many check-in points with the attributes of Internet celebrities. Just take a fresh photo and capture a scene. After all, the scenic spot is dominated by Japanese Nara-style buildings. The best thing about the scenic spot is the night view, including the lighting ceremony of the Huadian Tower, the lotus flowers in Wudeng Lake, and the big moon in the Brahma Sea of ??Flowers.

But I personally think that in terms of overall cost-effectiveness, compared with mature planned ancient towns like Wuzhen Tongli and Xitang, Nianhua Bay is really not a cost-effective choice. After visiting the restaurants in the scenic spots, I found that there was nothing delicious in these stores or I could not find anything delicious.

Take the shuttle bus back to the city at noon, and then arrive at Nanchang Street: Nanchang Street is a famous ancient street in Wuxi. In the center of Wuxi, where there are many high-rise buildings, the warm, long and antique Nanchang Street is the home of a gentle and honest soul. The South Street Qingming Bridge Historical and Cultural District is a typical Jiangnan water town beside the Grand Canal. It is known as the "Jiangnan Water Town and the Out-of-Place Canal".

Wuxi Section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal (Canal Ancient Town)

The ancient canal city takes the ancient canal as its axis and covers an area of ??18.78 hectares. It features temples, pagodas, rivers, streets, bridges, brick kilns, squares and many other landscapes, thus constructing a unique Jiangnan water lane.

Qingming Bridge, formerly known as Qingning Bridge.

Qingming Bridge is a landmark building on Nanchang Street and the largest existing ancient stone arch bridge in Wuxi. Qingming Bridge is a single-hole stone arch bridge with a length of 43.2 meters, a width of 5.5 meters, a height of 8.5 meters, and a span of 13.1 meters. It is made of granite. The whole bridge is symmetrical, steady and majestic, and is the most famous attraction on the Wuxi Ancient Canal. Qingming Bridge is an ancient bridge with a long history, built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty at the end of the 16th century. It was donated and built by the two sons of Qin Yuan, the owner of Wuxi Jichang Garden. Because the two brothers' names are Taiqing and Taining, they each took the word "Qingning Bridge". This stone bridge was rebuilt by Wu Xingzuo, the prefect of Wuxi in the eighth year of Emperor Kangxi's reign in the Qing Dynasty. During the Daoguang period, due to the taboo of Daoguang's name, it was renamed Qingming Bridge, and some people called it Qingming Bridge. Lunch will be settled at Inashi restaurant.

Go to Chong’an Temple Pedestrian Street in the evening: Chong’an Temple is the oldest temple in Wuxi. It is as famous as the Chenghuang Temple in Shanghai, the Xuanmiao Temple in Suzhou, and the Confucius Temple in Nanjing. It was originally a pure Buddhist niche, but later it became famous and there was no temple. It developed into a bustling business district and became synonymous with Wuxi's city center.
