There are three theories about the origin of Cao Zhang's name: Zhang Di's founding theory, Zhang Di's hobby theory, Cao Zhang's being used to play Shu, and Cao Zhang's taking historical travel as a first aid chapter. Among them, the memorial theory is more reasonable. According to documents, there was no such name as grass in the Western Jin Dynasty. This name, which first appeared in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, was said by Wang Xianzhi to his father, Wang Xizhi: the ancient Zhangcao was not magnificent and free, but it was different from its real body, which was the reason for its poverty and deficiency, and it was urgent. It is easy for adults to change their style if it is not a draft and between the lines. The name Cao Zhang originated in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, which was to distinguish it from today's grass.
Cao Zhang originated in the Han Dynasty, and Cao Zhang in the development stage was Cao Li or Cao Li. At this time, it is a rough, fast and economical way of writing, as Wang Wei said: solution, rough writing, that is, the outline of Shu Duan's stay, the rule of loss, leaving it to wait for the work, and going to the cheap to give first aid. Zhangcaoshu came into being and developed in the era of official script, which is comparable to official script and unique. Cao Zhang not only has the beauty of official script-like decoration, but also is smart, simple and elegant. In addition, Cao Zhang mostly uses pitch echo points and implied strokes to increase the fluidity and vividness of glyphs, which is beyond the grasp of official script. Therefore, Zhang Huaiguan praised Zhang Caoshu and said, "The first thing that bears the brunt is first aid. If you return to Lu' an, you will seize the beast, and then return to Jane, you will be eager to fly, practical and elegant, and you will be a scholar. " The Western Jin Dynasty can be said to be the perfect maturity of Cao Zhang. Its symbol is that the layout is gradually standardized, and the strokes have been integrated into the waves of official script, making Zhang cursive script more beautiful from layout to stippling. The perfection of Bo Zhen can be said to be a sign of the maturity of official script, and the development of the book also evolves with the evolution of official script. Because any font has a simplified and quick way of writing, which is the need of society, as Zhang Wei said in the Song Dynasty: cursive script is not necessary in the Jin Dynasty, but since it is written, it must be used, but if it is not carefully written, it will become a cursive script. From Zhang Caoshu to the Western Jin Dynasty, Li Shu's wave was perfectly applied to the cursive script, so Jiang Kui said: Zhang Caoshu painted a wave, with a full score of eight. The emergence of this wave is an inevitable form of cursive script, which also shows that cursive script has developed in art and made it more beautiful. In this way, the cursive script has matured and reached a perfect stage. Cao Zhang flourished in the Western Jin Dynasty, and its family members came forth in large numbers, including Wei Guan, Suo Jing and Lu Ji. His famous works include Suo Jing's Le Yi Tie and Lu Ji's Ping Fu Tie.
