Calligraphy understanding of regular script

1, seal script, Qin unified the six languages, which was generally used in solemn occasions. The hieroglyphics with slow writing (poor practicality) had obvious shortcomings, declined after the Tang Dynasty and revived in the late Qing Dynasty.

2. Official script, originated from Qin Fayuan, aims to quickly copy official documents (equivalent to the cursive script of Xiao Zhuan). After entering the Han Dynasty, it gradually became an easy-to-write and abstract text.

3. Running script, in order to write quickly, is equivalent to cursive script and official script, and gradually develops to pay attention to discipline and halo, becoming the beginning of calligraphy art.

4. Regular script, gradually evolved from official script, tends to be horizontal and simple, which plays a decisive role in the development of printing in the later period.

The above is my personal opinion for your reference.
