-Talking about the comprehensive practical activities of "beverage and health"
Lulong county No.1 Experimental Primary School Li Shulan
First, the theme of the event: from life
Shortly after the school started last summer vacation, I went to Class 6 (2) to attend classes. After physical education class, I saw many students holding beverage bottles instead of water cups. Ask them, why not drink water? Some students say that the drinks are delicious, some students say that cold drinks quench their thirst and relieve summer heat, and some students say that parents tell them that drinks such as juice and milk are more nutritious than boiled water. Some students said that they never drink water, and they always drink when they are thirsty. I asked the children, have you ever thought about whether drinking is good or not? What drink is good? Many students shook their heads. A stone stirred up a thousand waves. Suddenly, the children became curious about it and asked: Will drinking drinks often affect their health? There are so many kinds of drinks now, which one is more nutritious and more suitable for our primary school students? Why do drinks sell so well? Why are they so attractive? After listening to these questions, I realized that this is a problem worth discussing. Why not take "drinks and health" as the topic and let them investigate their favorite drinks themselves? If it is the theme of comprehensive practical activities, children will definitely be interested and understand the relationship between drinks and health. Under my guidance, students' questions and subject goals are focused. Thus, the theme of the activity "Beverage and Health" was born.
From this, I deeply feel that only by helping students choose interesting topics and contents from the life world and choosing to respect students' interests, hobbies and motives can we guide students to exercise and improve their ability of independent inquiry in the classroom of life, stimulate their learning motivation and stimulate their enthusiasm for participating in activities.
Second, the activity plan: highlight the key points in the discussion
After establishing the theme of "beverage and health", in order to arouse students' curiosity and stimulate their interest in further exploring beverages, I first asked the question: "Students, what do you want to know about the theme of beverage and health?" A pot suddenly boiled in the classroom, and the students all expressed their ideas: "I want to know the variety of drinks!" " ""Is it harmful to drink often? " "I wonder which drinks around us are inferior?" "Which drinks are suitable for our primary school students?" "What's in the drink?" "What is the relationship between drinks and our health? Why do people prefer drinking drinks to boiling water? "The children excitedly asked one question after another, and they talked in various ways. Some questions caused everyone to burst into laughter. I guide students to think about these problems carefully and find out which ones are worth studying and which ones can be merged. At this time, I told my classmates: "You can get the answer by consulting literature or online materials, and generally don't take it as a research topic;" "Students are required to conduct in-depth research on the basis of designing research programs. There is a certain depth and breadth of research, which is worth studying. Research is more complicated and takes longer. Generally, it can be used as the subject of students' research. "I combed and summarized with my classmates, and finally chose five sub-topics, such as which drinks are suitable for our primary school students, the study of beverage ingredients and their effects on the human body, the investigation and study of beverage popularity, the reasons why drinks are so attractive and the investigation and study of inferior drinks.
In order to fully respect students' autonomy and make activities become students' needs, in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, I encourage students to form groups according to their favorite topics, and the students independently recommend the group leader, who will briefly report the theme of their group's activities and choose the reasons for this theme. Then each group divides their work, preliminarily discusses the activity plan of the design group and gives the group a favorite name. About ten minutes, the first team to complete the plan handed in the first draft of the activity plan:
Activity theme drinks and health
The goal of the activity is to know whether there are inferior drinks around us and the impact of inferior drinks on the human body.
Activity time: September 25th, 2008; Venue: small department.
Team member Liu Duanyang Li Zhang Lulu
Activity content 1, go to the small department store to find inferior drinks;
2. Ask parents;
3. Tell the students about the dangers of inferior drinks.
Seeing this plan, I found that their plan has obvious shortcomings: the activity goal is single and there is no emotional goal; The content of the activity is unclear and difficult to implement.
So, I led this group of students to discuss: (1) Is the activity only aimed at "knowing whether there are inferior drinks around you"? Can we set other goals? (2) With the activity content, whose parents do you want to know? How to tell students? What exactly is the division of labor between you? If there is no division of labor, can the activities achieve the expected results?
Being asked by me, the students who just happily handed in the activity plan were at a loss. I said, "It doesn't matter. There are only a few minor problems with your plan. If we continue to discuss it, we will definitely improve it! "
Several students returned to their seats and their heads were together again. ...
This time, they submitted a very different activity plan:
Activity theme drinks and health
Activity goal: 1. Understand whether there are inferior drinks around you and the influence of inferior drinks on human body;
2. Learn to talk with strangers and exercise oral expression skills;
3. Team members can work together and help each other;
4. Overcome the difficulties encountered in the activity and experience the hard work and fun of the activity.
The activity was held on September 25th, 2008, in the small department stores and industrial and commercial offices around the activity site.
Team member Liu Duanyang Li Zhang Lulu
Activity content and division of labor 1, at the school gate at 8: 30 am on September 25, looking for inferior drinks in the small department around you; Take a camera and prepare to take pictures;
2. Jiang Lei is responsible for telling the doctor the harm of inferior drinks to the body;
3. Li Jing is responsible for knowing the source of inferior drinks around him from the staff of the industrial and commercial office;
The result of the activity is expected to be 1. Looking for inferior drinks to take pictures;
2. Organize the found data into data sets and write investigation reports.
Through the comparison of the above two schemes, it can be seen that the scheme developed by students for the second time not only modifies and perfects the activity objectives and activities, but also adds an "activity performance prediction". So, I let this group's plan communicate in the whole class, and other groups also revised and supplemented it, further improving the activity plan of each group. I told my classmates that the more specific the activity plan is, the more thoughtful the details are, the more convenient it will be to implement and the less difficulties it will encounter.
It can be seen that after the theme of an activity is determined, teachers can organize students to discuss according to their hobbies and their own life experiences, which is conducive to the in-depth and comprehensive study of the theme.
Third, implementation activities: committed to practice
When carrying out comprehensive practical activities, I have always adhered to the idea that we should participate in students' activities in a timely and appropriate manner, do not interfere with students' research too much, let them do it themselves and give full play to their initiative. If you have different opinions, you should also put forward suggestions for revision in a euphemistic manner.
In order to enable students to really understand drinks and understand that drinks are closely related to our health, I let students practice and get in close contact with drinks. Let the students interview their own subjects and practice by themselves; Collect information through various channels to understand drinks; Guide students to work together according to the predetermined plan and obtain all kinds of information from various channels through online information search, questionnaire survey and interview. In these links, I always pay attention to the activities carried out by various groups and give targeted guidance, instructions and supervision to maintain and improve students' enthusiasm for activities.
Trivia 1: "Search Team" crossed the line.
In order to let students know about drinks, after obtaining the consent of the school and discussing with Chao, I led the students in the group "What kind of drinks are suitable for our primary school students" to conduct a collective activity-Jiayuan Chao, so that the students can have targeted activities in the super class according to their own division of labor. In Zhong Chao, students are full of interest, but they haven't forgotten the task of this trip. Some students interviewed the person-in-charge and shop assistants in Zhong Chao, and some students conducted questionnaires, or studied the types and ingredients of drinks, or observed the packaging and publicity. After observing all kinds of drinks, I instructed the students to interview the store manager and the clerk. They asked related questions around the group theme: ① Which drinks sell best in your overtime? Have you noticed what kind of drinks pupils usually like to drink when they come to your home? Do you think drinking too much wine is good for people's health? If recommended, which drinks should primary school students choose that suit them? Super people have the patience to answer. Through this group activity, the students in this group basically understood the common sense of drinks, and also learned some basic investigation and interview methods, which laid the necessary foundation for their group activities.
Trivia 2: Investigation records of "Tracking Team"
Because this topic is close to students' life, students are particularly interested. We carried out practical activities in groups, and in less than two weeks, students' activities made some progress. In order to make the activities more effective, at my suggestion, the "beverage popularity survey" group concentrated on social survey activities, mainly in the form of questionnaires to communicate with residents. First of all, guide students to design questionnaires and tell them the significance of the questionnaire survey. Because students have never participated in the field questionnaire survey before, they have never designed a questionnaire; So it is too sudden to ask them to design a questionnaire. If students don't even know what they want to do, then they have no motivation to do it, let alone enthusiasm and initiative. I explained the significance of this activity from two aspects: a well-designed questionnaire helps us find out the causes of the problem and the clues to solve it; A poorly designed questionnaire survey is of little value and wastes time and energy.
The design of questionnaire is not a simple matter, you can't list whatever comes to mind; Poor design will lead to simple stacking, unsystematic, missing problems and some irrelevant problems. I deeply understand that it is very important to give full play to collective wisdom. The team leader is mainly responsible for the design of the questionnaire, and the team members are responsible. Because each student has a different understanding of the questionnaire design, each student has a different conception of the questionnaire. Therefore, I actively participated in the activities of this group, had serious discussions and studies with the members of the group, and designed two questionnaires. One is suitable for primary school students and the elderly, and it is simple and intuitive to ask questions, but it can provide data. The other is suitable for some literate people and can provide narrative information. Then, the team members conducted a questionnaire survey in the residence, campus and street to understand the popularity and coverage of drinks in people's minds, as well as their understanding of drinks and the different characteristics of people of different ages when choosing drinks. The children are fine, and I can't show weakness. In this process, I carefully observe and record students' activities, give timely guidance and evaluation to individual students, encourage students with poor hands-on ability to experience and actively participate in various activities.
The purpose of the investigation is to study. So, after the children conducted a questionnaire survey, I turned to the math teacher for help, and guided the students to convert the data into charts by using the statistical knowledge learned in the sixth grade, so that the results were more intuitive and clear, and I also got my own conclusions.
Trivia 3: Interview with "Secret Group"
Originally, it was expected that the step-by-step activities of each group would go smoothly, but unexpectedly, during the investigation stage, the students encountered unexpected difficulties. Children in rural areas are simple and honest, and are not good at interacting with strangers. Therefore, it is often rejected in interviews. The students went to investigate with great interest, but when they came back, they complained bitterly. Therefore, in the activities, I constantly guide students to solve the difficulties encountered in the activities through collective strength. Pay attention to the effectiveness and safety of communication. The students of the "Investigation and Research on Inferior Drinks" group ran into a wall when they interviewed the shopkeeper in a small department while looking for inferior drinks. The shopkeeper thinks they are just making trouble. "I care about my drink. What do you care about?" So they have the mentality of giving up. Looking at the children's depressed appearance, I really don't have a taste in my heart. If this problem can't be solved, it will affect the effect of this comprehensive practice! I guide you: comprehensive practical activities require students to solve their own problems through collective strength. Now this group is in trouble. Can we discuss the solutions to these problems together? The classroom is quiet and the children are thinking hard. My leader said: What did we do badly? What to do when interviewing each other ... It seems that when you say a method and I want a wonderful idea, the children suddenly realize that the classroom is full of excitement again. After discussion, everyone came up with more than ten ways to solve this matter. For example: 1, find a shop that students in the class are familiar with to avoid hitting a wall during the interview; 2. Shopping when there are no customers does not affect people's business; 3. Speak politely; 4. Modify your own interview words to make the questions involving trade secrets more euphemistic and induced; 5. impress each other with true feelings. Then, we create situations in the class, conduct mock interview activities, and the whole class will find strategies to solve problems together. It is really "hard work pays off." During the second investigation, the children interviewed a shop and learned about the difference between real and fake drinks, the raw materials of fake drinks and the channels for them to purchase goods. In the later investigation, the students became brave and confident, appeared resourceful and got the first-hand materials.
Seeing the children's success, I am deeply touched: let the children fly into the big classroom of society, they gain courage in practice, experience the sadness of failure and experience the happiness of success. When they encounter all kinds of difficulties, our teacher should guide the students to struggle against all kinds of difficulties by their own strength.
Iv. activity experience: summary of promotion
After the students' practical activities, they should make a good summary of information, form a conclusion and make all preparations for the exhibition. So, I guided the students to do a good job of summarizing the data for two weeks, forming a conclusion and preparing for the presentation. Each team member summarizes, sorts out, studies and screens the data of the team and forms a conclusion. Guide students to reflect on the process of practical activities and write their own experiences. Fill in the activity evaluation form in groups, light up the little stars in the classroom communication evaluation of "Personal Activity Catalogue", sort out all activities, including activity materials, and prepare a distinctive set of practical activities for each group. I mainly help students sift through the data and guide them to show the results of our group in an appropriate form.
★ The results are displayed in various forms.
For more than two months, the students studied the related problems of drinks with practice, learned a lot about drinks, and had a deep understanding of drinks. In the student achievement display activities, the team leader leads the team members to the podium and reports on the team's investigation, collection, interview, sorting and other activities. Each activity group will display the process information and results of the activity. Use physical objects, sitcom performances, interview recordings, activity diaries, announcements, handwritten newspapers, posters, calligraphy, photos, questionnaires and other forms to express their group activities. The report "Exploring the Composition of Drinks" said: We found that many beverages contain food coloring, preservatives, carbonated water, essence, saccharin, additives and other ingredients, and sugar is an indispensable part of every beverage. These ingredients directly affect the health of our teenagers. Then, the team showed the packaging of the beverage ingredients they found. The "Investigation on Inferior Drinks" team told you that many inferior drinks with simple packaging and low prices were found in small departments outside the school, and some small departments also contained drinks processed by themselves, raw water and brewed with a lot of pigments. The group also watched the interview and pointed out the harm of inferior drinks.
After the activity, in order to make the activity more meaningful, I guided the students to arrange handwritten newspapers, cartoons, health proposals, activities and other results in the school publicity column, which received good results.
★ Students' experiences are rich and colorful.
In the communication class, I guided my classmates to talk about the problems they encountered in developing beverage health activities, how to solve them, and their experiences and feelings. In class, the students talked about their gains and experiences in the activities with great interest:
Tommy-I'm basically satisfied with my performance at the event. Being able to interview boldly, the only regret is that I missed a question because of nervousness. Oh, what a pity!
Zhang Yifan-I personally participated in the activity of "Drink and Health", and I know there are countless kinds of drinks. However, drinks have both advantages and disadvantages. Although some drinks are cheap, the production process is very unsanitary, and drinking them may be harmful to health. When drinking, you should first look at the production date, shelf life and certificate of approval. If possible, it is best to have well-known brands, because the quality of well-known brands will be more guaranteed.
Jiang Lei —— After nearly a week's observation, I found that my aunt at the door often drinks those three-no-drinks for money, and then gives them to these ignorant pupils mercilessly, completely ignoring the precious life of flowers in our motherland. Therefore, I appeal to all uncles and aunts, please don't kill our innocent lives for a little trivial money.
Yang Tianquan-I have benefited a lot from the comprehensive practice of drink and health. Not only let me know the types and knowledge of drinks, but also let me deeply appreciate the warmth and happiness of cooperation with my classmates, and let me know what "unity and cooperation" means. "
Verb (abbreviation of verb) activity effect: reflected in the harvest.
In this comprehensive practical activity, I really realized that only by letting students go out of the classroom and into the society can they give full play to their great potential, so that students can really gain knowledge, improve their abilities and give them great gains in life.
1, which solves the problem of drinking habits.
With the continuous development of activities, the investigation of the types of drinks, the study of the influence of different drinks on the human body, and the investigation of whether there are inferior drinks around. Let students solve problems with problems, students realize the advantages and disadvantages of drinks, and many children get rid of the habit of drinking drinks instead of drinking water when they are thirsty, which has been recognized by parents and achieved the best results.
2. Stimulate students' interest in activities.
In the activity, the teacher is not a bystander of student activities, but a consultant and consultant. Students become the protagonists in the activities, and independently choose to study small topics according to their own interests, hobbies and specialties, as well as their understanding and experience of life. Interest is the best teacher. Students find and choose topics of interest and actively carry out activities.
3. Cultivate students' practical ability.
After selecting a topic, students should not only rely on the collective wisdom to discuss and formulate the division of labor among members and the necessary preparation for investigation and research, but also take the initiative to divide their work and cooperate according to their own specialties. What information to look for, where to collect information, and who to interview are all students involved in the investigation unit. Students' personal practice has greatly improved their ability.
4. Enrich students' inner feelings.
During the activity, the children were very emotional: "Pay more and gain more; If you pay less, you get less. "The process of practical activities is arduous, but how can we see the rainbow without experiencing wind and rain?" For us, the more comprehensive the practical activities, the better.
Through this practical activity, I deeply realized that if parents can give a lot of support in the activity, the survey results will be more substantial and comprehensive; The divergent thinking of students is inspired by the wisdom of teachers and is a long-term subtle influence. In order to really teach comprehensive practical activities well, teachers are required to have high comprehensive quality besides investing a lot of time and energy. Students are constantly "growing" in the process of growing up, and teachers should learn by doing, constantly reflect and be good at summing up, just like students, so as to make themselves grow faster.
In short, in the comprehensive practical activities, teachers, as organizers, guides, instructors and participants, should constantly explore and use unlimited classroom resources in teaching, create a broader development space for students, and truly enable students to obtain the dynamic generation and development of comprehensive literacy in the open classroom.
