Zhang Zhixue, male, was born in 1957, Yang County, Shaanxi Province. He is currently a member of China Calligraphy Art Research Association, International Artists Federation, Shaanxi Calligraphers Association, Hanzhong Calligraphers Association, executive director of Cai Lun Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, member of the 9th, 10th and 11th sessions of Yangxian CPPCC, member of the 10th CPPCC Standing Committee and member of Yangxian CPPCC. Tzu Chi has learned from his family's teachings since he was a child, and has formed an indissoluble bond with calligraphy. Over the past 20 years, Tzu Chi has been wandering among the steles in the pre-Qin, Han and Six Dynasties, involving Nanzong, benefiting from many teachers and learning ancient methods. His calligraphy is solid and can be used by everyone. He copied more than 30 kinds of inscriptions, especially Zhang Qianbei, Book of Rites, Ode to Shimen, Mi Fei and Yu Youren. His book contains rigidity, profundity and boldness, with a bright combination of stippling and Fiona Fang. The style of writing is sloppy, with the charm of Han and Wei dynasties, and tastes both refined and popular. His works have won many awards in competitions at all levels and have been absorbed as members by more than ten art groups. Some of his works are collected by domestic museums and spread abroad.
