In the fifteenth year of Chenghua (A.D. 1479), at the age of 19, Zhu Yunming was admitted as a scholar. After that, he took part in five rural examinations, and didn't become a juror until the fifth year of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty (1492).

After Zhu Zhishan gave up the imperial examination, he was elected as an official. 15 14 was awarded as the magistrate of Xingning County, Guangdong Province. 1522 was transferred to Yingtian (now Nanjing) as a general, so he was called "Zhu Jingzhao" by the world. After that, he had no hope of promotion and soon returned to China.
