The full text of the classical Chinese text "Wang Xizhi's Inscriptions" is translated into modern Chinese

Wang Xizhi was a famous calligrapher in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. He once served as a general of the Right Army, so he was also called Wang Youjun in history. His calligraphy works have always been regarded as divine works, such as the famous "Lanting Preface" which has gone through thousands of years and is still a treasure of Chinese calligraphy.

Wang Xizhi is famous for his calligraphy, and he is also very concerned about the poor and compassionate.

Once, Wang Xizhi went to a village. I saw an old woman carrying a basket of bamboo fans and selling them at the market. The bamboo fan was very simple, with no decoration, and it did not attract the interest of passers-by. It seemed that it would not be sold. The old woman was very anxious.

Wang Xizhi felt sorry for the old woman when he saw this situation, so he stepped forward and said to her: "You have no paintings or words on this bamboo fan, so of course you can't sell it. I'll write a few strokes for you. , decorate it, what do you think?”

The old woman didn’t know Wang Xizhi, so seeing his enthusiasm, she thanked him repeatedly and handed him the bamboo fan. Wang Xizhi picked up his pen, wrote a few words on the fan, and returned it to the old woman. The old woman couldn't read, so she thought his writing was sloppy, and she was dubious about whether it would sell. Wang Xizhi comforted her and said, "Don't worry, just tell the people who bought the fans that the words on them were written by Wang Youjun."

When Wang Xizhi left, the old woman did as he said and shouted to everyone to hurry up. Come to sell bamboo fans inscribed by Wang Youjun. When people at the market saw that it was indeed Wang Xizhi's calligraphy, they all rushed to buy it. The basket of bamboo fans was quickly sold out.
