After the middle period of Zhengzheng, Yuan Hui Zong was bewitched by Hama, a courtier, fell in love with tantric Tibetan Buddhism, practiced house art with Xifan monks, and loved Li Dala, who was educated by Confucianism. At first, he hated it. However, Hui Zong insisted on learning Tantric Buddhism from Riedala. He said, "The prince is bitter and ignorant of secret Buddhism, and secret Buddhism can prolong life." Therefore, Timur and others were ordered to teach the tantric method to Ai Yu Zhi Li Dala, and over time, Ai Yu Zhi Li Dala also indulged in this way. When Ai Yu learned about Riedala's first tantric studies, the Lama Emperor came to tell the strange queen, saying, "Learn Buddhism from the Prince, and you will feel enlightened. Today, I want to learn the teachings of Confucius, for fear of damaging the truth of the prince. " The Queen of Wonders said, "Although I live in the deep palace, I don't know the morality. Since ancient times and today, those who rule the world must use the way of Confucius, and that is heresy. Although Buddhism is good, it's just a matter of concern. You can't rule the world. Can you stop the prince from studying? " Hearing this, the Imperial Master withdrew with shame on his face.
Even so, it still can't reverse Ai Yu's passion for Buddhism. He set up a dragon bed in Qingning Palace and meditated in it. There were long seats in the east and west, and Tibetan lamas and Korean monks lined up. He also said: "Mr. Li (Li Haowen) has taught me to read Confucian books for many years, and I don't know what it means. The monk Xifan taught me Buddhist scriptures, and I realized it overnight. " It shows his obsession with Buddhism (especially tantric magic). Yuan Zhao Zong Ai You knew Li Dala and received a systematic education in Chinese culture, especially in calligraphy. Tao Zongyi, a contemporary, commented that Zhaozong's calligraphy was "true and elegant, and won Yu Yongxing's (Yu Shinan's) beauty, and it was impossible to get there unless he was skilled in his work". However, Zhao Zong later changed to learn Song Huizong's skinny style, and it was recorded that: "The prince was very vigorous when he first learned books, and then he was unrestrained, and he was only interested in Song Huizong's copybook, which was called' skinny book'. Or tell him:' Huizong is the king of national subjugation, which is not enough for the law.' The prince said,' I only learn from his elegant brushwork, but I don't learn from him to rule the world. What's the harm?'
Ai Yi Zhi Li Dala also likes to give his calligraphy works to his officials, and the calligraphy works he left behind are Lin Feng, Mei Shou, Jing Xun, Cheng De Cheng Ming, Zhong Xiao Wen Wu, Wen Xing Zhong Xin, and Being the Most Pleasant for Kindness. In the Yuan Dynasty, the official trace map was inscribed with the word "Dugong", which was once suspected to have been written by Song Huizong. According to Lin Meicun's examination, it was confirmed as Mo Bao of Yuan Zhaozong, and there was a Sanskrit painting of Yuan Zhaozong below. This is also the only calligraphy work of Yuan Zhaozong.
