What is literate?

People who read a lot don't necessarily have a culture, and people who know a lot don't necessarily have a culture. If a person has a culture, he must have:

Self-cultivation rooted in his heart; Consciousness without reminding; Freedom based on constraints; Kindness for others.

First, the cultivation rooted in the heart

A person is calm, doing things properly and being polite, which is cultivation.

in ancient times, we often compared jade to a gentleman.

It is said that a gentleman is as gentle as jade, bright and restrained, not dazzling, not showing off, modest and restrained, and not aggressive. This is self-cultivation.

The most important thing for ancient people to study is to cultivate one's morality. Only after cultivating one's morality can one keep one's family, rule the country and level the world.

Modern people study knowledge. As long as they get high marks, nothing else matters.

So, nowadays, many people are grumpy. Without saying a few words, they should greet each other roughly. Emotion always comes faster than logic, and temper is always much less than self-restraint.

no matter how much such people read, they can't be considered literate.

Second, self-consciousness without reminding

A literate person must be a self-conscious person.

queue up consciously when you get on the bus, queue up consciously when you have a meal, give up your seat consciously when you see the old man, avoid when others enter the password, spit gum in the paper towel, and take a step closer when you go to the toilet.

Self-consciousness needs no reminder. Only by putting yourself in others' shoes can one have self-conscious behavior.

considerate of the elderly's poor health, so consciously give up your seat. The password is the privacy of others, so I consciously avoid it.

Confucius said, "Don't do to others what you don't want others to do to you.".

If a person takes care of others with his heart, most of his manners are actually conscious without reminding.

but many people just don't realize it. Because they ignore the feelings of others and ignore the emotions of people around them. Such people often leave a bad impression of being overbearing and domineering.

3. Freedom on the premise of restraint

On buses, subways, high-speed trains and airplanes in China, although we don't know each other, it is easy to judge whether a person's quality is high or low.

the quality of talking is low, the quality of listening to songs and playing them outside is low, and the quality of garbage after eating snacks is low.

It is everyone's freedom to talk, listen to songs and eat, but once your freedom affects the freedom of others, you have crossed the line.

In a public area, people with quality talk in whispers, with the criterion of not affecting others.

Why is the contradiction so serious in the dormitory for college students in China? Even poisoning roommates sometimes happens? It is because individual freedom has no constraints.

When everyone else is asleep, you wash clothes in a trickle, while others are quietly studying. Of course, others are unhappy when you sing in the dormitory, and conflicts in the dormitory accumulate little by little.

Now most children in China are only children, little emperors and little princesses, and they do things only by themselves, so there is no problem.

fourth, kindness for others

what is kindness, is to make others good from the heart.

Kindness is not embarrassing, kindness is punishing the strong and helping the weak, and kindness is helping the poor.

Kindness is a delicate life experience. It is a kind of trust and care to understand everyone's feelings, with a gentle attitude, calm mood, euphemistic words and concerned eyes.

kindness is the softest but also the most powerful feeling in human nature.

No matter how hard it is, we should stick to kindness. No matter how lonely you are, you should stick to the nobility of your personality.

everything in Futian is inseparable from unhappiness. If people have good thoughts, God will bless them.

Sow good seeds in your heart, and they will blossom and bear fruit one day.
