Why didn't you like studying history before? Because the teacher will only follow the book and draw the key points.
If the knowledge giver doesn't find what he says interesting, how can he interest the learners?
Recently, I was particularly curious about what Yan Zhenqing (709-784, a famous official in the Tang Dynasty, calligrapher, official-to-official minister, and Prince Taishi) wrote in the inscription of his great-grandfather.
The inscription is not difficult to read, but the names of people and officials are a bit confusing.
After listing his genealogy clearly, and then looking at the inscription written by Zhenqing to his great-grandfather Yan at the age of 7 1, we can't help but admire the perfect use of words by the ancients.
The logic of Zhenqing's inscription for his great-grandfather was introduced from his diligent great-grandfather (+4, the last four generations) to his great-grandson (-4, the next four generations), that is, the "Nine Families". These people experienced the Southern Dynasties (Song, Qi, Liang and Chen)-Sui and Tang Dynasties.
Great-grandfather (Yan, +4, Beiqi), great-grandfather (,+3, Beiqi), grandfather (Yan Zitui, +2, Beiqi, Sui), father (Yan,+1, Tang), Yan (eldest brother, 0, Tang), and so on.
Yan's family tree, the first generation can be traced back to Yan Hui (a disciple of Confucius). Thus, in the thirty-third generation, Yan's great-grandfather (+4), that is, Yan mentioned in Yan Bei, was sealed to Qi Zhongcheng.
After Qi was taken over by Liang Wudi and Xiao Yan, Yan Yuanjian died of hunger strike (the ancients were similar to modern people, and only three or two Baba died of integrity, as recorded in the history books).
Great-grandfather Xie Yan was also an official in the Northern Qi Dynasty. He had three sons: Yan Ziyi, Yan Zishan and Yan Zitui.
Yes, Yan Zitui is the author of "Yan Family Instructions" and a diligent grandfather. Yan Zitui worked as assistant minister of the Yellow Gate in the Northern Qi Dynasty, and as a bachelor in the Eastern Palace in the Sui Dynasty (in a sense, they were all teachers of Bandu and the Prince).
Off-topic, the swallow pushed for the eldest grandson of Emperor Wendi of Sui Dynasty (the future was bright, but the prince Yong Yang was deposed, the eldest son was deposed and finally poisoned by Yang Di).
Since then, the descendants of Yan family have been unified as the capital Chang 'an. However, they always say that they are Linyi people and their ancestral home is Lin Lang. That's because they are from Shandong, Yan Hui. It is the pride of Chinese people to say so.
As a representative figure of ancient writers and educators, Yan Zitui has feelings, such as homesickness and not forgetting his roots. So the eldest son was named, and the second son was named Chu.
Yan's family has made great achievements in Confucian classics and historiography. In modern terms, they read well. Therefore, people boast that Wen Dalin (Yan Bo), a famous prime minister during the Zhenguan period, compared Lu Si. The former goes far politically, while the latter goes far academically.
Lu Si has four sons, who are diligent and virtuous.
Yan Shigu (eldest brother diligent) was also a famous Confucian scholar, historian and linguist in the Tang Dynasty. He successively assisted Li Yuan and Li Shiming, and followed Emperor Taizong to levy Liaodong, at the age of 65. These four brothers are all famous and outstanding figures in the Royal College of Literature.
When he came to the branch swallow, something went wrong, which made the latter two generations even more unpopular.
Until Yan Gaoqing and Yan Zhenqing, two cousins (great-grandchildren), the former was also a well-known person with integrity (Anshi Rebellion, which was executed by An Lushan in that year; Wen Tianxiang praise people), the latter fame needless to say (gossip, ZhenQing was hanged by a villain at the age of 75).
What happened to diligence? He married the wrong man.
He has two wives, Mrs. Yin (also a famous family, later) has two sons, and Zhenqing's grandfather Yan Zhaofu was born to this wife.
Liu, the stepfather, has five sons. This Liu's younger brother is the grandfather of the Queen Wang. Wang never fought with Wu Zetian, and then a series of implications-diligence was demoted, and Liu's five sons were banned from being officials for life.
Yan Zhaofu died when his sons Wei Zhen (Yan Zhenqing's father) and Sun Yuan (Yan Zhenqing's uncle) were very young, and the Yan family also declined.
Fortunately, Zhao Fu married a good daughter-in-law, who was the younger sister of Yin Zhongrong (calligrapher, painter, good seal-cutting, Shang Shucheng of the official department, and doctor of the Ministry of Industry) in the Tang Dynasty during the Wu Zetian era. These two little brothers were brought up in their uncle Zhong Rong's house and studied calligraphy.
Yin Zhongrong married Yan Qi (daughter of Yan Shigu; That is, Yin Zhongrong is Wei Zhen's uncle on the one hand, and his cousin on the other)-Do you think there are too many marriages between Yan Jia and Yin's family, and I will gossip about their marriages in the future?
Because they were too poor, Wei Zhen and Sun Yuan could only use loess to sweep the wall and draw wood and stones to learn calligraphy, so their later achievements were all famous for cursive script (definitely taught well by their uncle and cousin Yin Zhongrong).
Don't think that Yan Zhenqing can learn much from his father. He is as poor as his father Wei Zhen who lost his childhood. Zhenqing was three years old, but Wei Zhen died. According to historical records, his mother's name is Yin-I'm completely confused.
Therefore, at the end of "Diligence Monument", Zhenqing wrote it sincerely, which is a pity. I translated in vernacular Chinese: "I have the honor to preach to your old man in the younger generation." It's a pity that my father died when I was a child. I can't accept my father's teaching, nor can I listen to yours indirectly. Now that I am old, most of my elders have passed away, and no one has told me your story. Therefore, you have many virtues and created so many outstanding younger generations, but there are also regrets that you can't say them all. "
Some people say that Zhenqing was taught by her aunt Yan Zhenqing (Zhenqing wrote an inscription for her aunt "Yin Wife Yanshi Tablet"), and the status of ancient women was low. Without this inscription, the name will certainly not be handed down.
A closer look reveals that Yan's wife is also a character (in the era of torture in Wuhou, she cut off her own ear and fought hard for her uncle).
Suddenly found her husband, Qiantang county, honest and clean.
Yan Jia and Yin Jia, this is unknown. Then let's pull it together.
Yin Jia: 1 Yin Yingtong (doctor in the mid-Northern Zhou Dynasty)-Yin (founder of the Prince, who cooperated with Yan Shigu in compiling history)-Yin Lingming (Tang Guangluqing, calligrapher in the early Tang Dynasty)-Yin Zhongrong (calligrapher, painter and doctor in the early Tang Dynasty) (other schools can't be found really.
Yan Jia: 1 Yan Lu Si (read by Wang Changning)-2 Yan Shigu/Yan Liqin-3 Yan Zhaofu-4 Yan Sunyuan/Yan Weizhen/Yan Zhenqing (female)-5 Yan Gaoqing/Yan Zhenqing.
Kissing event: 1) Yan married Yin Yingtong's daughter (Yin Yingtong appreciated it very much and called her Yanlang in his poetry collection, which included more than 20 poems sung by the two); 2) Yan married his wife Yin (Zhao Fu's mother); 3) Yin Zhongrong married Yan Qi, the daughter of Yan Shigu; 4) Yan Zhaofu married Yin Zhongrong's sister (Yin Jia, unknown name, innocent mother); 5) Yan Zhenqing's husband is Yin (no details of the characters can be found); 6) Zhenqing's mother is also called Yin, that is, Yan Weizhen also married Yin's daughter.
I finally understand what a family friend is, and I can't wait to involve all future generations.
