Why is writing English, French and Russian not calligraphy?

I think so.

Calligraphy can be divided into Chinese calligraphy, Mongolian calligraphy, Arabic calligraphy, etc. Among them, Chinese calligraphy is a traditional art unique to Chinese characters and is known as wordless poetry, invisible dance, and pictureless. Paintings, etc., it can be used in many aspects such as font design, stone inscriptions, pattern design, etc. Broadly speaking, calligraphy refers to the writing rules of language symbols. In other words, calligraphy refers to writing according to the characteristics and meaning of the text, using its calligraphy style, structure and organization to make it a beautiful work of art.
