Is non-woven fabric suitable for calligraphy works

Nonwoven fabrics, also known as nonwovens, refer to fabrics made without traditional spinning, weaving or knitting. It is a new fiber product with softness, air permeability and plane structure, which is formed by carding fiber raw materials into single fiber state with carding machine, then netting by air flow or machinery, and then consolidating by spunlace, needle punching or hot rolling.

The thickness of the existing writing paper is limited, because the wood fiber has good water absorption, ink is easy to penetrate, the paper is thin and lacks texture, so the calligraphy works that want to be preserved need to be thickened and mounted. At the same time, its main raw material, wood fiber, has limited resources and high price. With the current economic development in China, there are more and more discarded fabrics and chemical polyester fibers, and chemical fiber resources are rich and cheap.
