Brief introduction of beilin museum
It is located in Sanxue Street on the west side of today's Wenchang Men Site site, north of the former site of Jingzhao School in the Northern Song Dynasty. It was founded in the second year of Yuan You in the Northern Song Dynasty (A.D. 1087 to preserve the thirteen classics carved in the Tang Dynasty), and it was a Confucius Temple in the Song Dynasty, and it was expanded into a museum in 1950. It is the largest stone forest museum in China, covering an area of 30,000 square meters and an exhibition area of 3,000 square meters.
Xi 'an Forest of Steles is the earliest place where ancient inscriptions are preserved in China. The Forest of Steles Museum is mainly composed of the Forest of Steles and the Stone Carving Art Room. * * * There are 7 exhibition halls, 6 exhibition halls, 8 pavilions, and * * * tablets 1788, of which 678 tablets were added, including 48 inscriptions, 509 epitaphs, 50 classic buildings, 70 statue boards, and line drawing 1 piece. It is a treasure house of calligraphy art.
