2. Etymological evolution

1. "Mu" is a phonetic character. From the field, every sound. The structure of Xiaozhuan script is the same as that of bronze inscriptions, and later regular scripts were written as "箮". Qin's bamboo slips are added with "Jiu", and the two are superimposed sound symbols. "Each", "Jiu" and "Jiu" belong to the same department. The character "you" was changed into "十" in the small seal script or style of "Shuowen", so the character "畞" was formed.

2. In Xiaozhuan or Chinese style of "Shuowen", write "十" into one dot and one horizontal line and move the word "田" to the top to become the word "mu". After removing the sound symbol "jiu" of "mu", the simplified character "mu" is formed. In Han Li, "夂" is a corruption of "Jiu". In addition to "箮", "畕" and "木", this character also has variants such as "畆" and "畒".
