Xu has been self-reliant since childhood, loves calligraphy and is diligent in practicing calligraphy. He is infatuated and can't extricate himself. In the 1970s, few people in the village could read, let alone write. At that time, as a pupil, he often wrote for the villagers. For example, writing Spring Festival couplets and building new houses are great successes. Every time he helps the villagers, he feels extremely proud and his heart is full of emotion. Xu grew up happily in such an environment, with bitterness and sweetness. After graduating from Yingkou No.2 Division, he studied under Yang and others and teachers. He learned from others and began to dabble in China's traditional culture, especially reading China's ancient literature and history works. He thinks that a master of culture or a person who reads widely may not become a calligrapher, but a person who pursues calligraphy all his life must have a profound cultural background. Based on the essence of traditional culture, Xu has formed his own unique dignified, beautiful and elegant style through the study and mastery of famous inscriptions.
Xu's calligraphy works, whether it is fan-shaped letters or banners with book lists, are carefully tasted, each word is balanced, forming an independent aesthetic unit, with distinct details and level. His works are sometimes majestic and sometimes have the rhyme of small bridges and flowing water. The whole work is exquisite and elegant, and its writing style, supplemented by simple deformation, makes the whole pulse of its work firm and smooth, which makes people nostalgic.
The edge of the sword comes from sharpening, and the fragrance of plum blossoms comes from bitter cold. He loves calligraphy and has won one honor after another with persistent pursuit, hard work and unique calligraphy techniques. Over the years, he created thousands of paintings and calligraphy works, which were collected and published by many media.
