Meng Xiao Monument is133cm high, 96cm wide and 24cm thick. There are dragon and tiger patterns on the side of the monument and turtle and snake patterns on the bottom. Inscription *** 15, in which there are 3 words in line 5, no words in line 13, words in line 14 16, words in line 15 10, and words in other lines 2/kloc. Calligraphy, the inscription is Fang Bi Lishu, horizontal and vertical, stretching left and right, and the strokes are thin and simple.
Historical inheritance:
Meng Xiao Monument was unearthed in Bainijing, Zhaotong, Yunnan Province in the 27th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (A.D. 190 1 year) and moved to the Confucian Temple in Zhaotong City that year. Was placed in the former Zhaotong Experimental Middle School. The experimental middle school was moved to Wanghai Park and later changed to experimental primary school. After that, the experimental primary school moved out of the new campus at the intersection of Zhaotong Avenue and Jinying Avenue, and now it is a community in Yuan Wen.
1965, Meng Xiaoju Monument was announced by Yunnan Provincial People's Committee as the first batch of provincial key cultural relics protection units. On May 25th, 2006, Meng Xiao Monument was designated as the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units by the people of China and the State Council.
