From June 25th to 27th, 2008, the 4th Congress of Jiangsu Artists Association was held in Nanjing. The fifth leading body
On behalf of the fourth Council, Song Yulin, the fourth chairman of Jiangsu Artists Association, made a work report entitled "Work hard and make concerted efforts to write a new brilliant chapter of Jiangsu fine arts". During the meeting, delegates reviewed the work report, put forward suggestions for the next five years, and revised the articles of association of Jiangsu Artists Association. Congratulatory messages from the Artists Association of China and the book associations of all provinces and cities in China were read out at the meeting. Wang Weijun, Secretary-General of Jiangsu Calligraphers Association, delivered a congratulatory message on behalf of Jiangsu Writers and Artists Association.
Through democratic procedures, the Congress elected a new board of directors and presidium of Jiangsu Artists Association, with Zhou Jingxin as the chairman and Liu Weidong, Liu She, Li Yongqing, Lu Qinglong, Chen Xinjian, Jintian, Hu Ningna, Xu Huiquan, Gao Yun and Liang Xue (in the order of surname strokes) as the vice-chairmen. Liu Yun, secretary and executive vice president of Jiangsu Academy of Traditional Chinese Painting, was added as executive dean.
