Life itself may be a collection of contradictions, like two intertwined ropes.
What we are trying to find in the various contradictions may not be a way to untie the rope of these two days, but how to coordinate the ropes with each other, that is, to find a balance.
Perhaps the wise ancients had already understood this sense of contradiction. Therefore, yin and yang are not absolutely dominant, but complement each other in the flow, merge with each other, and achieve fusion, becoming a yin and yang diagram that countless people have understood throughout their lives.
Perhaps talking about Yin and Yang is a bit far from life. I have been learning calligraphy recently, and the teacher’s words touched my forehead.
? "The writing style of calligraphy pays attention to the muscles, bones, flesh and blood, and many of these things are inherently contradictory."
Contradiction, sinews and bones, hardness and softness. Hardness and softness are contradictory to each other. Hardness is like a knife carving an axe, while softness is like a pearl. Contradictions have flesh and blood. Even if the ink is exhausted, the pen will not dry up, and the soul of flesh and blood will still exist when writing. Isn’t the balance in this exactly the balance we are looking for in writing?
There are contradictions everywhere in life, and what we call the way of life may be the balance found in contradictions. When the water is light enough, the salt will give it the flavor. When the water is neutralized, the food will be ready. The old people practice Tai Chi. Between movement and stillness, flowing water moves like clouds, and the momentum can reach great heights. When there is a dispute between people, the truly perfect solution is often not that one party seems to have won a great victory, but in fact both parties suffer losses, but that each side takes a step back and the world is brighter.
Sometimes I wonder whether the victory we pursue can itself be regarded as the result of a balance. Maybe you would say that some things are destined to be incompatible with each other. It is true, but behind such a victory or defeat, how do you know that you are not climbing up the stairs with various balances? Maybe the balance here is not the result of victory, but the method of winning.
Of course, balance is not just a way of behavior, but also a way of thinking and a mentality. After all, the amount of happiness you get in life often depends on how you look at something. We often joke that I am mentally balanced. In fact, if you maintain a balanced mentality and find the appropriate coordinates on the scale in your heart, don't ask for things that don't belong to you, don't run away from things that should be done to you, don't be extreme, don't be depressed, and be more peaceful in everything, you may be able to have the so-called solution to disasters. Ability, maybe you can have a better life.
The above is just my opinion, I hope it can bring some thoughts to everyone.
