Wenshuyuan has a long history. According to legend, in the Sui Dynasty, Yang Xiu, the son of Emperor Wendi of the Sui Dynasty, was the favored concubine of the King of Shu, and was built by the letter phase of the "Saint" at that time, so it was called the letter phase hall. In the Five Dynasties, it was renamed Miaoyuan Tower. It was still called Xinxiang Temple in Song Dynasty. According to Chengdu County Records, Xinxiang Temple was destroyed by fire in the late Ming Dynasty. All the buildings were burnt down, except the iron ring statue of 10 and two thousand-year-old Chinese fir trees.

Wenshuyuan is located in Qingyang District, Chengdu, within the First Ring Road, a national key Buddhist temple in the Han area and a key cultural relic protection unit in Sichuan Province. Now he is a resident of Sichuan Chengdu Buddhist Association. It is a famous Buddhist temple in western Sichuan.
Wen Shu Academy was founded in the great cause of the Sui Dynasty (605-6 17). Yang Xiu, King of Shu, was named Xinxiang Temple in the name of "Shengni". In the fifth year of Huichang (845), Tang Wuzong destroyed the Buddha and the temple. Xuanzong ascended the throne (847), which lasted more than 800 years. The first year of Shunzhi in Qing Dynasty (1644) was completely destroyed. Legend has it that in the Qing Dynasty, someone saw a red light at night and the government sent someone to visit. They saw the statue of Manjusri Bodhisattva in the red light, which was convenient for Kangxi to raise funds to rebuild the temple in the thirty-sixth year (1697) and renamed it Manjusri Academy. Emperor Kangxi inscribed the word "empty forest" and presented it to the Imperial Seal Party. Mo Bao of Emperor Kangxi is still in the hospital.
Wenshuyuan covers an area of 82 mu and has more than 90 rooms/kloc-0.
3. Geographical location
Wenshuyuan is located in Wenshuyuan Street, Chengdu. According to the Records of Chengdu County, Xinxiang Temple was destroyed by fire in the late Ming Dynasty, and only 10 cast iron rings and two ancient Chinese fir trees were spared. In the 20th year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (A.D. 168 1), the Zen master Ci Du came to the deserted ancient temple and became a hermit between two Chinese fir trees, practicing asceticism.
According to legend, when Zen master Cidu died and was cremated, Rise of the Legend condensed into a manjusri bodhisattva in the air, which lasted for a long time. People think that Cidu is the embodiment of Manjusri Bodhisattva. Since then, Xiangsi has been changed to Manjusri Academy. From the thirty-sixth year of Kangxi to the forty-fifth year of Kangxi (A.D. 1697- 1706), officials, gentry, soldiers and civilians donated money to rebuild the temple. During the reign of Jiaqing and Daoguang, Master Benyuan, the abbot of Wen Shu Academy, bought 82 more stone pillars, rebuilt and expanded the Hall of the Great Hero, forming its present scale.
