Who was the first person to appreciate calligraphy actively?

Up to now, apart from Oracle Bone Inscriptions, the earliest calligraphy works in the history of China should be the works of Lisi when the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty worshipped Mount Tai, about 2200 years ago.
