The foundation of calligraphy is "useless work"

At present, many people have a misunderstanding about calligraphy. They often think that it is enough to spend more time learning and practicing calligraphy. Actually, it is not.

The reason for this ambiguity is actually a lack of basic knowledge and understanding of calligraphy, equating calligraphy with writing, and throwing away the core things in calligraphy, which is a misunderstanding in itself.

"Kung Fu is beyond merit", so is calligraphy. To really learn calligraphy well, calligraphers need to consciously do enough and do a good job of "useless work", which will play an incalculable role in one's understanding, expressiveness and creativity in calligraphy.

You should know that calligraphy is an art with a soul, and the foundation must not be ignored when learning calligraphy. A person who only knows how to practice calligraphy will only end up in a dead end.

Throughout the ages, all calligraphers have told us the simplest and simplest truth with their personal experience: culture is the foundation of calligraphers' self-cultivation and life, and calligraphers should be a "miscellaneous family". A person without cultural background is like losing his foundation and soul, and it is difficult to make a difference.
