The author is Chen Yungao. This is a couplet written by Chen Yungao in the Qing Dynasty. It is at the gate of Taibai Temple, praising Li Bai: "The poet and wine in the prosperous Tang Dynasty were unparalleled, and he was the first in Qinglian Literature Garden." Chen Yungao (1877~1965), also known as Zilun, also known as Zilun and Huangzi, and his nickname was Zinglu. A native of Yizhou, Zhili. In the 29th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1903), he became a Jinshi, a member of the Guimao Imperial Academy, and was awarded the title of editor of the Imperial Academy.

Chen Yungao, in the third year of Xuantong, served as a counselor of the Bideyuan of the Yikuan Cabinet. In 1951, he was employed by the Central Research Institute of Literature and History as the first librarian. Member of the Beijing Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference. He specializes in calligraphy, literature, history, poetry, etc., and is especially good at calligraphy. In 1956, he established the Chinese Calligraphy Research Society with Zhang Boju, Pu Xuezhai, Zheng Songxian, Guo Fenghui, Zhang Shizhao and other Chinese masters, and served as the president himself. The calligraphy club has trained and educated calligraphers and painters of the younger generations such as Qi Gong, Shen Peng, Liu Bingsen, Wang Xuetao, and Wang Kunlun, and has made great contributions to the development of calligraphy art in my country. His representative works mainly include the couplets at Du Fu Thatched Cottage in Chengdu and the plaque for Sanxi Hall in Beihai Park.
During the Anti-Japanese War in 1944, he, Pan Linggao and Fu Zengxiang resolutely erected the "Jiashen Monument" in Jingshan Park, Beijing, to promote the national spirit and anti-Japanese patriotism.
