The decorative patterns carved around the Meng Xiao stone tablet are as follows.

Meng Xiao's tablet was unearthed in Bainijing, 5000 meters east of Zhaotong, and then moved to Fengchi Academy in the city. It is embedded in the wall and protected by the Han Monument Pavilion. It is the earliest monument in Yunnan. This monument is a valuable material for studying the history of ancient nationalities in southwest China.

The right side of the word "infiltration" almost completely adopts the structure of seal script; The horizontal painting on the top of the word "Kun" in the eleventh line is extremely exaggerated, and the vertical pens on both sides are obliquely inserted inward. The writing method has both the characteristics of official script and the flavor of seal script. At the lower right of the word "Yan", the two ends of the horizontal painting of "Earth" are tilted upward, which looks like "Chu" and is very affectionate.

Stylistically, the writing of Meng Xiaoju's tablet is still in a period of drastic change and development, and its calligraphy is also mixed with seal script, official script, running script and even regular script. For example, in the fourth line, there are many ways to write seal script, and the word "Mao" can be said to be the official script writing of seal script.

The word "qi" in the sixth line not only means seal script, but also has the characteristics of many folk literati tying knots at will and writing freely. The writing of the word "wind" in the seventh line is rare in Han dynasty inscriptions, and it is not written by "insect" but by "evil", which fully shows that "wind" is the main connotation of airflow.
