The handwriting font of the People's Education Press English textbook?

You may not have thought of an important reason why Chinese students hate learning English! It is an English handwriting font for teaching English textbooks.

Of course this is my own opinion. See if my analysis makes sense.

The People's Education Press's English textbook has taught me to use handwriting fonts written in letters from the beginning of elementary school and junior high school, but the circles are beautiful. (See picture) Different from Chinese character writing habits, many students cannot write well. It reduces the enthusiasm for learning new things at the beginning, and rewriting is a waste of learning time. According to English calligraphy books, the handwriting font used in the People's Education Press is called Italian italic. I think the textbook writers initially chose it because it is beautiful. The turning points of the text are all circular, and the turning points of Chinese characters are close to right angles. Moreover, the Chinese characters are required to be tilted 15% to the right in English fonts. These two places greatly violate our habit of writing Chinese characters! It is not ruled out that a few students can master it quickly, but according to my observation, about 3/4 of them need time to master it, and some of them have difficulty mastering it

The copybook has the same font as the textbook

It is difficult for students with small tails to grasp

Although it is very beautiful, it is difficult to learn

After reading a few English text posts, I found that there are many English calligraphy handwriting fonts. There are many of them that are like movable type for easy writing, and there are also many that are tilted without requirement. The popular Hengshui style English text is a scientific method of simplifying human complexity.

In fact, there is no need to buy copybooks. Our computers and mobile phones have many handwritten English fonts. Parents and students can choose what they like to study, and use WORD or WPS to print in gray, which is a good deficit post.

Let children input textbook articles and important sentence patterns by themselves, and then print, trace, and copy them, which can consolidate knowledge and quickly improve their writing skills.

Some English fonts I found on the computer are easy to learn

The English textbooks of the People's Education Press It has been revised many times, but it is still this difficult to write italic font. There are other versions of English textbooks now, and even those influenced by the People's Education Press version use this font. I strongly appeal to textbook writers to change handwriting fonts that are easy to write for students who are new to English in primary school and junior high school, so as to prevent children from encountering such great resistance when they first learn English. Italian italics are clean and easy to adhere to, and can be included in English textbooks for junior high school third graders and above, and students who want to improve English calligraphy choose to study.

I am neither an English expert nor an English teacher. The above are just my opinions. If you have any comments, please leave them in the comment area.

I wrote this article after using the lives of relatives and elders to guide children in the second grade of junior high school to learn English, and after seeing that the children's writing difficulties are related to my own writing experience.

During psychological consultation, I found that some children, in addition to taking notes, also had a very low understanding of English sentences. I know the words but can't understand the sentences. Is it because the current English education in schools has weakened grammar and allows children to "understand on their own" through a lot of dialogue and a lot of reading? I plan to write another article discussing this issue.

Now in the guidance of children, I compare Chinese grammar and try to speak English grammar, but the effect is very good. Each time I gave him guidance, I summarized it, and then made a series of videos "Boss and Lao Er Learn English" using scene dialogue mode.
