Sorghum meat is pork breast made locally by Wenzhou people, but it has a rich, sweet taste and the salty aroma of soy sauce.
The origin of sorghum meat: In 1896, a businessman named Liang in Wenzhou opened a shop in Hengjin Lane, specializing in various pickled and cured sauces. At the beginning of the opening, he asked calligraphers in the city to inscribe couplets for the store. Soon, a couplet with the words "Guangjin Guangjin Xiang" written on it was delivered to Boss Liang. Looking at the couplet, he was inspired to name his shop "Guangjinxiang". It is said that the founder of the time-honored brand Guang Jinxiang is tall and his surname is Liang. Men, women and children in the neighborhood call the boss "Uncle Gaoliang". In addition, he is famous for his unique skill of making bacon, so everyone euphemistically calls it "Sorghum Pork".
