Ou Yangxun's font is European style.
based on the "two kings", the European-style font combines the lingering charm of han li's calligraphy in Wei and Jin Dynasties, absorbs the strengths of various schools, and is unique in creating new ideas. Basically, Fang Bi is the main pen and stippling, with a round pen in between. The pen is relaxed and natural, clean and neat, and the pen is slow and subtle, with no squatting, and the pen is meticulous.
stippling pays attention to echo and coherence, and the strokes pursue changes. The stippling is like a triangle, and Fang Bi is often used to start the pen horizontally and vertically, and the pen is used to skim the nai, which is flexible and vivid. Hook painting is taken from Li, full of manners and momentum, and the turning point is mostly square with round potential, which shows both square strength and vigorous.
in structure, it is slender, with uniform stops on all sides and tight sides, with prominent peaks and edges, tightened to the left and stretched to the right, vertical as the main trunk, and horizontally patterned, with strict statutes, so as to seek danger and strength in the middle of the plane. In the middle, it is evenly set (the middle palace is tight), and most of them expand to the right, while the center of the word is generally slightly to the left, which is dangerous, rigorous and impeccable.
Ou Yangxun introduced:
Ou Yangxun (557-641), a letter book, was born in Linxiang, Tanzhou (now Changsha, Hunan), and was one of the four masters of regular script (Ou Yangxun, Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan and Zhao Mengfu). Dr. Taichang, an official in Sui Dynasty, was named Prince Gengling in Tang Dynasty, also known as "Ouyang Lvgeng". With the other three contemporaries (Yu Shinan, Chu Suiliang, Xue Ji), they are also called the four masters in the early Tang Dynasty.
Because his son Ouyang Tong is also good at calligraphy, he is also called "Da Ou". Ou Yangxun is called the first regular script in the Tang Dynasty because of his rigorous method and precipitous brushwork. Both he and Yu Shinan were well-known for their calligraphy in the early Tang Dynasty, and they were also called "Ou Yu". Later generations saw danger in the middle of the flat with their books, and they were the first to learn, and the name was "Ou Ti".
