Shihu Lake, a tributary of Taihu Lake, is located at the eastern foot of Shandong and on the shore of Taihu Lake. Located 5000 meters southwest of Suzhou Ancient City and 5000 meters east of Taihu Lake in Jiangsu Province, it spans huqiu district and Wuzhong District of Suzhou City.

Stone lake is located in the southwest suburb of Suzhou, seven kilometers away from the ancient city. It is famous for the ruins of wuyue and the idyllic scenery of Jiangnan water town, and has many ancient temples, pagodas, ancient tombs and villas of Fan Chengda, a famous pastoral poet in the Song Dynasty. It is mainly composed of Shihu resort, scenic spot, film and television culture area and amorous feelings dining area.

The most famous scenic spot of Shihu is "Shihu Chuanyue", which originated from Jiukong Bridge (Xingchun Bridge) on the lake. These holes are interconnected and reflected in the water. On the night of August 18th of the lunar calendar, the bright moon is in the sky, and the nine-round cave reflects the moon in the lake, forming a wonderful spectacle of "crossing the moon in September". There are barbecue, cruise and other services in the scenic spot. In addition, the fishing village in the north of Shihu Lake (also known as "Fish Village") was a villa built by modern calligrapher Yu Jue in Yujia Village in 1934. This villa is simple and elegant, with a view of the lake. Its main hall is the "Fushou Hall" given by Empress Dowager Cixi. There is also Shihu Jingshe in the scenic spot, which is the place where Fan Chengda, a famous pastoral poet, lived in seclusion in Shihu for the aged in the late Southern Song Dynasty. He calls himself "Old Shi Hu".

Shihu Lake has a long history, and there are many allusions and folklore. According to legend, in the Spring and Autumn Period, the State of Yue dug a river to attack Wu, dug a stone at the foot of the mountain and opened a canal to Suzhou, hence the name Shihu. After the state of Yue destroyed Wu, the famous minister of Yue took his teacher to Taihu Lake, and there was a town called Lishu nearby.
