Liu Shouan is from Dongming County, Shandong Province. Graduated from Chinese Department of Shandong University. At present, he is the president, professor and doctoral supervisor of China Calligraphy Culture Research Institute of Capital Normal University, a member of the academic degree committee of this school, a doctoral exchange judge of the State Council Academic Degree Committee, a judge of the National Social Science Fund, a judge of the art discipline of Beijing Social Science Planning Office, a judge of the 10th Beijing Social Science Excellent Achievements Art Discipline, a member of China Calligraphers Association and a member of the All-China Aesthetic Society. Vice Chairman of Beijing Calligraphers Association and Director of Education Committee, Vice President of Beijing Calligraphy and Painting Institute.
