It's not enough just to retire like a mountain. You have to read thousands of books to understand God.
Your family has its own yuan ruler, and you never tire of asking people.
A piece of running script and two poems, and then a good beard is as silky as silk.
When you are eager to preach family law, what you want to see is the sincerity of the pen.
Interpretation of poetry:
"It's not enough to return a mountain of pens": a mountain of rotten pens may not write good things.
"Learning from thousands of books": Read more books to write really good works.
"Your family has its own yuan and ruler": Everyone's calligraphy has his own personality and style (Yuan: Liu Tang Yuxi called Liu Zongyuan's calligraphy. Later it also refers to Liu Gongquan's calligraphy. Foot: refers to strokes, commonly known as foot, which means calligraphy. )
"Chickens never tire of refinement, but ask more people": Don't blindly learn from others just because your own things must be bad (chickens are just a metaphor).
It means that people who practice calligraphy should read more books, and only when the books are read well can the words have lasting appeal; And blindly writing, that is, practicing with a rotten pen, may not be able to write good things.

Even if bald pens pile up like mountains, they are not worth cherishing. Only by reading thousands of books thoroughly can we realize the creative realm of "connecting the gods".
Su Shi's nephews Liu Hong and Liu Ying appreciated his uncle's calligraphy and asked Su Shi for it. So Su Shi wrote two poems to apologize, saying that his calligraphy was not cherished enough. Only studying thousands of books is the realm that students should pursue. The two nephews must first learn to inherit the calligraphy of their ancestors Liu Zongyuan.

Su Shi first quoted Chu Suiliang's allusions to show that calligraphy can't be done overnight. There are only a few lines on the paper, which seems to be a stroke of a pen. In essence, if you don't think hard day by day until your temples turn gray, you can reach the handy writing realm. So there is no need to "rush to pass on the family law."
Sui Liang is Xu Suiliang, a calligrapher. Emperor Taizong asked him to copy the Preface to Lanting, which was handed down from generation to generation, and then took the real thing as his own funerary object.
Su Shi wrote these two poems in running script.
Honest words are allusions, and Liu Gongquan's words are sincere. The emperor asked him how to practice calligraphy well, and he took this opportunity to remonstrate, saying that you must be honest before you can write correctly. That is to say, your emperor handled state affairs in the same way, and he got the message.
