Mr. Sha Manweng's calligraphy likes Chu Suiliang, which was printed in Qin and Han Dynasties. In a short time, Wang Xizhi walked on the grass, learning from him, and dabbled in Hanshu tablet, Qin imperial edict edition, Oracle Bone Inscriptions and bamboo slips.
In 1930s, he studied seal, small seal, official script, sub-calligraphy and China philology under Mr. Xiao Tui 'an from Yushan, and studied the theory and practice of calligraphy and seal cutting for a long time. Looking back at the ancient monuments, his works have formed a simple, elegant and vigorous artistic style.
Mr. Sha Manweng studied painting after the age of 50, and he was deeply fond of the pen and ink interests of Xu Gu, Ba Da, Shi Tao and others. His painting style is elegant and unique, fresh and elegant, which attracts people's attention and is quite interesting.
In the 1980s, he held personal paintings and calligraphy in Nanjing Museum and Henan Provincial Museum, and was invited to Singapore for four times to hold personal painting and calligraphy seal cutting exhibitions, which were highly praised by people at home and abroad.
