Gao Deng du fu's calligraphy

There is no first place in literature, which is the knowledge of most people. However, everyone is different. Some people read a poem and like it very much, so it makes sense to push it as the first thing in their hearts. However, it can be praised by poetry critics of past dynasties, and it is rated as the first in many people's hearts. It must be a rare masterpiece in poetry.

The Yellow Crane Tower, which was intensively read by Xiao Lou before, was promoted by Yan Yu in Song Dynasty and Wu Changqi in Qing Dynasty to be the first of the seven laws in Tang Dynasty. However, in Xiao Lou's comments on the intensive reading of The Yellow Crane Tower, many friends think that the first of the seven laws should be Du Fu's Ascending the Mountain.

Indeed, Du Fu's "Ascending the Height" has also been highly praised by poetry critics in past dynasties, and its evaluation is even higher than that of "Yellow Crane Tower". Hu Yinglin, a famous poetry critic in the Ming Dynasty, praised Du Fu's ascent to the top of the seven-character poem in ancient and modern times. Yang Lun also commented in Du Fu's poem "Jing Quan" that it should be the first of Du Fu's seven-character poem.

Du Fu's Seven Laws, the Preface to the Lanting Pavilion in calligraphy, etc., are models for countless future generations to learn continuously, and this poem is a model among the models. Then, why did Du Fu's Ascending the Height get such a high evaluation?

Du Fu's Ascending the Mountain was written in Dali, Tang Daizong in the second year (767). By that time, the Anshi Rebellion had ended for four years. However, although the chaos stopped and the minor chaos did not stop, the national situation in the Tang Dynasty was still decadent.

After the Anshi Rebellion, Du Fu once wrote in the poem "Both banks of the Yellow River were recaptured by the imperial army" that "I will return home on that green spring day", but his trip to the hometown was unsuccessful, and the situation was turbulent, with poverty and illness. On the way, Du Fu returned to Chengdu and took refuge in his good friend Yanwu.

Unfortunately, Yanwu died soon, and Du Fu lost his support. He had to leave Chengdu and wander around, and finally arrived in Kuizhou.

In the autumn of the second year of Tang Daizong Dali (767), he boarded the high platform outside Bai Di, Kuizhou alone, surrounded by mixed feelings. He wrote this song "Up the Mountain", which is known as the "crown of seven laws".
