In ancient times, Helan Mountain was a place where northern ethnic minorities such as the Xiongnu, Xianbei, Turks, Uighurs, Tubo, and Dangxiang lived, hunted, and lived and multiplied. In the hinterland of Helan Mountain, which is more than 200 kilometers long from north to south, there are more than 20 remaining rock paintings. The most representative one is the Helankou rock paintings.

Helan Mountain rock paintings are paintings carved on rocks by ancient northern ethnic minorities. They express their yearning for a better life and reproduce the aesthetics, social customs and life interests of the time. 1. Yinchuan World Rock Art Museum

The only Yinchuan World Rock Art Museum in China and the largest in the world, the museum displays more than 40 paintings from around the world. There are about 600 pictures and rubbings of rock paintings from various countries and regions, as well as original works of art produced at the same time as the rock paintings.

2. Han Meilin Art Museum

There is the third Han Meilin Art Museum in the country in the scenic area. Mr. Han Meilin is the designer of the 2008 Fuwa and is known as the "Father of Fuwa". On December 21, 2015, the Yinchuan Han Meilin Art Museum was officially opened. The museum displays Mr. Han Meilin's art, calligraphy, Jun porcelain, ceramics, sculptures and other works. Since its opening, it has attracted many art lovers to visit.

3. Ruxiang·Helan Mountain Rock Painting International Children’s Art Center

In the Yinchuan World Rock Art Museum, “Ruxiang·Helan Mountain Rock Painting International Children’s Art Center” is a “holy place” for children. 4. Baisikou Twin Pagodas

The Baisikou Twin Pagodas are located in the west of Helan County. The two towers stand on a square platform in front of a purple peak on the left side of the entrance of the Baisi Valley.
