Li Yu (937-978), originally named Congjia, with the courtesy name Chongguang, also known as Zhongyin and Lianfeng Jushi, was the sixth son of Li Hao, the central lord of the Southern Tang Dynasty. He became the empress of the Southern Tang Dynasty in the second year of Jianlong (961), Taizu of the Song Dynasty. Lord, it was destroyed by the Song Dynasty in the eighth year of Kaibao (975). Later he was taken to Bianjing (now Kaifeng, Henan Province) and was granted the title of Marquis of Disobedience. The third year of Taiping and Xingguo's reign (978). Finally, because he did not forget his homeland, he was given a medicine by Emperor Taizong of the Song Dynasty and died.
Although Li Yu has no political knowledge, his artistic talent is extraordinary. He is proficient in calligraphy, good at painting, proficient in music and rhythm, and has certain attainments in poetry and prose, especially his greatest achievement in poetry. He is the author of eternal masterpieces such as "Poppy Lady", "Langtaosha", "Wye Cry" and other poems, and is known as the "Eternal Ci Emperor". His early works were mostly about court life, while his later works were devoted to expressing the pain of the country's subjugation and thoughts about the homeland. They were highly praised by later generations and played a major role in transforming the poetry of Ling Gong into the poetry of scholar-bureaucrats in the history of Ci.
