Since 1980, he has mainly studied calligraphy aesthetics. At present, books have been published, such as Beauty of Calligraphy, A Brief History of Calligraphy Aesthetics in China, China Calligraphy and Traditional Culture, Five Theories on Calligraphy, Discovery of the Beauty of Calligraphy Lines, and Essays in Tianyi Hall. Published philosophy, aesthetics, calligraphy, literature and other papers and translated more than one million words. The thesis has been selected into previous national calligraphy seminars and participated in the compilation of entries in China Calligraphy Appreciation Dictionary and other dictionaries.

His works and culture have won dozens of awards. Among them, the beauty of calligraphy won the bronze prize of the first China Excellent Art Book Award sponsored by the State Publishing Administration, and the first prize of the fifth Ningxia Excellent Achievement Award in Social Sciences. A Brief History of Calligraphy Aesthetics in China won the first prize of the 6th Literature and Art Award of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. His life achievements have been recorded in dozens of dictionaries such as China Sociologist's Dictionary, China Ancient and Modern Calligraphers' Dictionary, World Modern Artists' Dictionary, and China Who's Who of Contemporary Art (Volume I).
