Brief introduction of Emei Mountain
There are more than 0/00 temples in Emei Mountain/KLOC, which have been abandoned several times. The main existing temples are Wannian Temple, Guobao Temple, Khufu Temple, Shanjue Temple and Guangxiang Temple. Wannian Temple, founded in the third year of An (399), was founded by Huizhi, formerly known as Fukenji. In Tang Xizong (887-888), Huitong, a Buddhist monk, was rebuilt and renamed Baishui Temple. In the Song Dynasty, it was renamed Baishuifu Kenji.
In the 29th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty (160 1), Zongshen named it Shengshou Wannian Temple to celebrate the 70th birthday of the Empress Dowager. It was built in the Qing Dynasty. The fire in 1946 was completely destroyed except the brick temple. Now Wannian Temple is restored by the People's Government 1954.
