Yangmei is the only higher art school directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It is one of the first batch of "double first-class" national key universities, ranking first among eight fine arts colleges, and has also been selected into the national graduate program of building high-level universities, the scholarship receiving institution of China government for overseas students and the first batch of demonstration bases for studying in China by the Ministry of Education.
2. China Academy of Fine Arts
China Academy of Fine Arts is the first comprehensive national art college in China, which was founded by the people of China, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province. It is also the earliest institution of higher learning in China, the birthplace of the earliest art revolutionary group in China, and the only national key discipline of fine arts in China.
3. Hubei Academy of Fine Arts
Hubei Institute of Fine Arts (HIFA) is the only multi-disciplinary and multi-level art college in Central China. As one of the earliest art colleges in China and one of the cradles of modern higher art education in China, it has been running for more than 90 years.
4. Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts
Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, referred to as "Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts", is located in the center of Tianjin. It is one of the nine most influential art academies in China, an important art education and research center in northern China, and one of the eight independent art academies in China.
5. Luxun Academy of Fine Arts
Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, located in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, is the only multi-disciplinary and multi-academic institution of higher learning in Northeast China and one of the eight national fine arts institutes. The school has been rated as the national college students' cultural quality education base, the red classic art education demonstration base in colleges and universities, and the China literature and art public opinion information research base of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
