Introduction: Ruan Yuanshu, Ruan Yuan, whose real name is Yuan Bo, is Yuntai, the ancestor of Tang Lei, and later named Yixing Old Man. He was born in Yizheng, Jiangsu. He is a scholar in Qianlong for fifty-four years. He has served as assistant minister in the Ministry of Rites, the Ministry of War and the Ministry of Housing and Industry, studied politics in Shandong and Zhejiang, and served as governor of Zhejiang, Jiangxi and Henan, governor of grain transportation, governor of Huguang, governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, and governor of Yunnan and Guizhou. Li was the owner of Taifu Tijen Pavilion and posthumous title Wenda during the reign of Jiaqing Daoguang. He is a writer, sculptor and thinker. He has very high attainments in Confucian classics, mathematics, astronomy, geography, compilation, epigraphy, collation and so on. He is regarded as a veteran of the three dynasties, a minister of nine provinces, and a literati.
