This is Hancheng.
Why Hancheng?
Speaking of Hancheng, one person must be mentioned, that is Sima Qian and his Historical Records. Looking west, Chang 'an left Sima Qian with too many joys and sorrows; East to Hancheng, Sima Qian gave a city great honor.
When you climb the hillside of Sima Qian's tomb, you will find that Hancheng is also a place attached to history. It's so thick that a gust of wind blows, and it seems delicious.
Hancheng was called Korea (not Korea's Korea) when it was enfeoffed in the Western Zhou Dynasty. Although a small country, its strategic position is very important.
After Hancheng, it was also called Shaoliang, which was a famous battle between Qin and Wei, and also a prelude to Shang Yang's political reform and the rise of Qin State.
Hancheng is also called Longmen (Longmen Grottoes). Because it is close to the Yellow River, it is an important ferry, with cliffs on both sides. Only Shennong can cross it, so it is called Longmen. Listen to this name and be domineering, right? This is the place where Dayu harnesses water and carp yue longmen. Such a choke point has made carp and Hancheng people.
Yu said: Hancheng is a place I have always wanted to go, but I dare not, because its culture is too profound and broad.
Jia Pingwa said: Hancheng is one of the places worth visiting.
When you come to Hancheng for the first time, I believe you can experience the simple folk customs and good cultural atmosphere in Hancheng, which are all born in Hancheng.
As early as the pre-Qin period, the Book of Songs recorded "Park Bie Seoul", which means that the capital of Han Dynasty is wide and tall. The ancient city of Hancheng, which has been preserved to this day, is several thousand meters long from north to south and 800 meters long from east to west. It is much smaller, but it is also much more exquisite. However, this small place accommodates dense historical sites such as Confucius Temple, Jiulang Temple, Beiying Temple, Dongying Temple, Castle Peak Temple, City God Temple, County Government, Champion House and many well-preserved quadrangles. The number of ancient buildings is rare in similar ancient cities, and they are real ancient cities, not those that are over-packaged by commercialization.
As can be seen from the names of these sites, Hancheng people love culture too much. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties alone, there were as many candidates as 1396 in Hancheng Imperial Examination. There are many Beijing officials among them. At that time, there was a saying that "North Korea is half Shaanxi and Shaanxi is half North Korea". Hancheng's ability to transport talents is so strong that Qianlong made a decree: Hancheng people can get married with robes and crests, houses can be built in imitation of Beijing aristocratic quadrangles, and the Beijing aristocratic system can be followed after death. Therefore, Hancheng has the reputation of "Little Beijing".
Known as "Xiao Hancheng", it is Dangjia Village. There are more than 120 quadrangles in the village, and1/ancestral hall. Every household's ancient quadrangles have hundreds of years of "wall-carved family instructions", as well as Wenxing Pavilion and Xiao Jie Monument, which have become a unique cultural phenomenon, so they are known as "living fossils of ancient traditional residential villages of oriental human beings".
There are many traditional ancient villages like Dangjia Village in Hancheng.
Seoul, which is far away from the political center, is blessed, avoiding so much war damage and being extremely rich in culture.
Hancheng is a rare city in China built on the Yellow River. The whole city looks like a long strip. This unique terrain and climatic conditions make Hancheng a "pepper city".
Walking in the streets of Hancheng, you will find that many foods and specialties are related to peppers. Is Zanthoxylum bungeanum just a seasoning? If you nod, it means that you have never been to Hancheng. The people of Hancheng have played Chili to the extreme! Pepper yogurt, pepper tea, pepper ice cream, pepper sprouts, pepper essential oil, pepper soap, pepper beer, etc. There is nothing pepper can't do.
Of course, Hancheng people don't just eat Chili. The food in Hancheng is also very distinctive, such as wonton. Wonton in other places (some called wonton, others called wonton) is thin and big, like a skirt blown by the wind scattered on the soup. But the wonton in Hancheng is only as small as a fingernail, commonly known as needlepoint wonton. What's delicious about Hancheng wonton is that it's covered with diced vegetables and meat, and it's delicious in color, flavor and taste. Suddenly I felt like I had a dinner, and I didn't treat my stomach badly. If you just think that this is just a meal, you are wrong. This kind of minced meat wonton has an extremely important sense of ceremony in the life of Hancheng people, and it is essential to celebrate holidays, weddings and funerals, and entertain distinguished guests.
Hancheng has endless delicious food, as well as mutton, mutton sauce and thirteen flowers. All these things make people want to stop, and all of them are very informative. This is the simplest and happiest life thanks to the Yellow River culture.
Wei, a famous painter and writer, is from Hancheng. He said: "Every time I go back to Hancheng, I am afraid of being close to home." This is an indigenous complex emotion. For most foreigners, Hancheng is new. Every time I go, I feel different. It's really exciting. For me, I just want to wander around the ancient city of Hancheng with a bottle of pepper beer.
Hancheng with a story, traveling with a taste, just left.
