Xu works

His works were selected in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th National Calligraphy Exhibition, and were included in dozens of dictionaries such as China New Literature and Art Department and Selected Works of International Book Fair, and won the second prize in the Australian International Calligraphy Competition (1980) and the first prize in the National Lanting Calligraphy Competition (1984). Invited to Japan and South Korea to hold painting and calligraphy exhibitions and academic exchanges. The academic paper "Cai Yong and Xiping Shijing" participated in the National Hanbei Academic Conference and was published in Hong Kong's Book Spectrum, and "Some Questions about Contemporary calligraphy theory Issues" participated in the National Calligraphy Seminar and was published in the 10th Anniversary of Calligraphy Research. He has published Selected Calligraphy of Xu, Notes on Thousand-character Seal Calligraphy and Notes on Pupils Learning Chinese Characters. The Chinese textbook "Writing in" for middle schools in Anhui Province was compiled. He is currently an in-service calligrapher and second-class artist of Anhui Painting and Calligraphy Institute, vice chairman of Anhui Calligraphers Association, member of China Calligraphers Association and editorial board member of Friends of Calligraphy.
