Seeing that the Buddha heard the Dharma, he proved that there was no life for a while, so he gave up the great wish of the master to have more lives and more robberies and gain "general knowledge." This kind of "sadness" has been transformed into a great force to dispel the suffering of all beings, and "all undertakings in life can be successfully achieved", I am gratified.
Interpretation of Master Hongyi's Last Words
Before dying, Master Hongyi said to Master Miaolian, "After I was born in the West, I will come back with my wish, and my career in my life can be successfully realized." Master Hongyi had many hopes, but what he saw on his deathbed was the same as that mentioned in Guan Jing. Seeing that the Buddha heard the Dharma, he proved that there was no life, and vowed that "all salvation can be achieved if you return with a wish."
According to the analysis of the above data, can we draw a conclusion: Master Hongyi's state of mind before his death is the same as that of Mrs. Wittig in Guan Jing-seeing the Buddha and listening to the law, there is no life.
