Mao Zedong (December 26, 1893 - September 9, 1976), whose pseudonym was Runzhi (originally Yongzhi, later changed to Runzhi), and his pen name Ziren. A native of Xiangtan, Hunan.

The leader of the Chinese people, a Marxist, a great proletarian revolutionist, strategist and theorist, the main founder of the Communist Party of China, the Chinese People's Liberation Army and the Chinese People's Republic of China and leaders, poets, calligraphers. ?

In May 1966, due to his extreme assessment of the domestic class struggle situation, he launched the "Cultural Revolution" movement. This movement became special because it was controlled by the two counter-revolutionary groups Lin Biao and Jiang Qing. The violence greatly exceeded his expectations and control, and even lasted for ten years, causing serious damage and losses to many aspects of China.

During the "Cultural Revolution", Mao Zedong also stopped and corrected some specific mistakes. He led the struggle to crush Lin Biao's counterrevolutionary clique and prevented Jiang Qing, Zhang Chunqiao and others from succeeding in their ambition to seize the supreme leadership.

From 1949 to 1976, Mao Zedong served as the supreme leader of the People's Republic of China. His contribution to the development of Marxism-Leninism, military theory, and theoretical contributions to the Communist Party are known as Mao Zedong Thought. Because almost all of the major positions Mao Zedong held were called chairman, he was also known as "Chairman Mao".

Died in Beijing on September 9, 1976, at the age of 83.
