After getting off the plane from Zhoushui Airport, a group of 28 of us stayed at the "Baidu Hotel" on the hillside in the suburbs of Dalian that night. It was very secluded and there was no city. In the hustle and bustle of the city, several tall buildings facing each other were dimly lit, with only a few windows transmitting dim light, adding a sense of tranquility and leisure to the night. Thinking of our "encounter" at Wulingyuan Resort in Zhangjiajie a year ago, my companion and I repeatedly summoned the waiter to look at the room, not missing any damage. Fortunately, this middle-aged woman's attitude is always so patient and gentle: "Don't listen to the tour guide's warnings. Just sleep peacefully. Dalian will not make things difficult for the guests."
It was already late when we came out of the hotel. At around 10:30 in the evening, we walked down the "mountain". Under the blur of street lights, lilac trees were in full bloom, either red, white, or purple... emitting fragrance in the night, and accompanied by the sea breeze. The breeze blows, refreshing. The greening here is very land-saving, and it is also very land-saving. In a word, it is a good use of land. The slopes and ridges on both sides of the street have been renovated into belt fields, layer by layer, covered with juniper and pitch pine. Rows and rows. Surrounded by pines and cypresses and facing the street, there are lilac trees, banyan trees, hibiscus trees, ginkgo trees, and sycamore trees...high or low, green or red, thick or light, blooming flowers or green leaves. The trees and lights complement each other, transforming into a beautiful city night scene, condensing and expressing the "connotation" of Dalian.
It was late at night, and there were only a few people walking on the road. Only my brother was whizzing by in his car, completely without the fatigue of looking at the peaks to rest his mind. After the hustle and bustle of the day, there is still not a trace of dust on the road. After the light rain, it was rather damp, and the air was filled with the fragrant fragrance of flowers. The streets are clean, the architecture is unique, the grass is green, and the atmosphere is peaceful. Walking on the streets of Dalian, a fresh feeling arises spontaneously.
If this feeling is only in the area around "Baidu Hotel", in the dead of night and with scattered drizzle, then that's it. In Dalian, this kind of environment is everywhere, Dalian This is the "quality" of the company, which is reflected in the careful attention to every detail. In the next three days, we took a bus to visit Binhai Road and Colorful City, strolled through Xinghai Park, Xinghaiwan Square, and Russian Style Street, visited the Century Footprints, Centennial City Sculptures, and Tiger Sculptures, enjoyed the Golden Pebble Beach, and the Hunting Ground, and experienced Dalian's unique square culture, Zhongshan Music Square, allows you to experience the western golf course. I once paid attention to the suburbs and alleys, and the environment and facilities that were being renovated. What I saw and heard was clean and quiet. It was not like in some cities. The conspicuous places were kept clean and beautiful, which can be said to be greening, purifying, and beautifying. , hardened and brightened for people to visit and "appreciate". As for secluded places, this is not the case. I remember the time when the county labor union organized us to travel to Suzhou and Hangzhou in May 2005. We took the train from Xi'an all the way east and south. The "background" of the city we saw along the way was either piles of garbage bitten by mosquitoes or flies, or there was no trace of it. Ripples of stinking water. At that time, I was wondering when urban construction would bring beautiful mountains and clear waters to the suburbs and surrounding areas, like the Dongting Lake area in the south of the Yangtze River, and when would it be able to return to the grandeur of the "vast and boundless water" described by Fan Zhongyan. This time behind the city of Dalian, I saw hope!
No one steps on the green space in Dalian, and no one catches the pigeons in Dalian. Most of the buses in Dalian are clean, unlike some cities that are always dirty, like gray camels passing through the city streets. Dalian's public security facilities, including telephone booths, trash cans, and billboards, are always brand new, which shows that Dalian people protect public security facilities. There are "food storage windows" everywhere in Dalian Xinghaiwan Square for the convenience of tourists. Through the glass, you can see instant noodles, cold drinks and so on. Tourists only need to put in coins and they will be waiting for them immediately. In front of the "windows", I was thinking, what would be the fate of the small county where I live? I knew very well: either his eyes were gouged out or his nose was cut off.
Remember in 2006, in order to organize the second "China-Huanxian Daoqing Shadow Puppet Art Festival", the Urban Construction Bureau purchased a batch of green and environmentally friendly trash cans and placed them on both sides of the street. Almost all the trash cans were missing noses or eyes. A few days later, even their body parts were "sold" to several recycling stations. After that, I told my friends about this on the phone, and my friends in Lanzhou laughed "with each other". Even today, we can still see everywhere that the neon lights on the riverside have had their protective covers smashed, their pipelines removed, their bodies twisted...in short, they have been dismembered one by one; on the solid stone railings by the river , was filled with vulgar and obscene rumors. It can be seen that people's level of civilization is still very low. How different this is from Dalian!
There are a lot of green grass on the streets of Dalian. They are spread out like a strip of stripes, dyeing this city of steel buildings with green. Dalian people love green and pass on their love for green to their children. That day we visited the Tiger Sculptures at the Tiger Sculpture Square. Due to the need to take pictures, we stepped into a small edge of the grass. We were discovered by a little girl. She walked over quietly and gently pulled my pants with her little hands. , told me with my eyes that "green" is left under my feet. This green cannot be stepped on. I was touched by the little girl's behavior. My imagination immediately began to wander. This scene was like a small "public service announcement" or a romantic painting. It was so beautiful and wonderful that it aroused an inexplicable emotion deep in my heart that I would never let go.

From the "Dalian Evening News" neatly placed in the corner of the living room of Baidu Hotel, we learned that this "Victory Road" on the hillside is an uphill road. The road was built through the mountain in the 1990s. Many high-rise buildings have been built on the kilometers-long road since the 1990s. Because of the good location, it is relatively close to Xinghai Bay, the most popular tourist attraction in Dalian. Therefore, the architectural style of these high-rise buildings is quite good. Coupled with the convenient transportation, the bus from Xinghai Bay along Shengli Road is probably the best bus route. Because it is a road that runs along the mountain, there are very few crosswalks. The bus travels quickly along the mountain road, with few obstacles from red lights. It is a smooth ride and the scenery outside the window is picturesque. It is a good mood to ride such a bus.
I read an article like this in "Dalian Evening News": "Dalian, the imprint of celebrities is everywhere", which wrote about Gorky Road. We took a tour bus through this street. The tour guide was familiar with the road and introduced us to the rich cultural heritage of this street. Here is an excerpt from the "Dalian" magazine: "This is a special area that combines international architectural style and Japanese architectural style. It is an important witness to the development of Dalian's urban construction from east to west. This is a unique street. French plane trees stand on both sides of the road, which is very ancient. It was a red base and ethnic elite settlement during the liberation war, especially in the early days of the founding of New China. "According to reports, the ethnic elite settlement refers to the early days of liberation, where many senior cadres lived. here. There are many Japanese buildings on Gorky Road. Although they are not tall or gorgeous, they are just exquisite and elegant. Probably because of this exquisiteness and elegance, the people who build the houses and the people who live in them are often celebrities in history. Because of Dalian's special environment, many warlords, old and young from the Qing Dynasty, once had private residences in Dalian.
Dalian is a city with colonial culture. Dalian’s architecture is greatly influenced by Russia and Japan, especially the Russian style. Now most of these buildings are nowhere to be found. Only the two sides of Gorky Road are still there. There are some small Japanese-style buildings. I read information about Mr. Guo Moruo's Japanese wife Anna and his son and grandson from a publication. Everyone knows that Guo Moruo has a Japanese wife, but they don’t know that this Japanese woman Anna, it is said that on the eve of the founding of New China, she broke through many obstacles and came to China to find her husband. Unfortunately, Guo had another wife, so she stayed in Dalian. I walked into this small Japanese building on Gorky Road. She has lived in this building for 45 years, and her son Guo Hefu lives with her. According to relevant records, at that time, the popular version among the people was that Anna and her son lived in Dalian, and Guo's son did not recognize his father Guo Moruo.
It is said that once, Guo went to Dalian for an inspection. When he inspected his son's workplace, the leader deliberately led Guo into the room where his son worked, but Guo Hefu did not say a word to his father. "Of course, this is all hearsay and there is no evidence." The author used "popular folk version" at the beginning and emphasized it later, obviously to avoid suspicion.
According to the information, Guo Hefu once worked at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, as deputy dean and doctoral supervisor. He had been living with his mother Anna, and also married a Japanese wife, Kiyoko Ueda. The peaceful life changed in 1994. Anna passed away on August 15, 1994, at the age of 101. This is a woman with a peaceful mind and great wisdom. She traveled across seas and oceans to find her husband, but was left indifferent in Dalian, far away from Beijing. However, she still raised her son tenaciously, trained him to become a scientific research talent, and lived in peace in her old age. However, her departure was a huge blow to her son. Over the long years, he has become accustomed to his mother's existence. His mother is Guo Hefu's soul. When his mother leaves, his soul also flies away with her. Less than a month apart, on September 13, 1994, the 78-year-old Guo Kazuo followed his mother, leaving his wife Kiyoko Ueda alone in the empty house.
Before this, their son Guo Ang had moved to Japan. The elderly Mrs. Guo had to go to Japan to live with her son. Guo Ang also married a Japanese female doctor as his wife. The wives of three generations of the Guo family are all Japanese women, which is probably something Guo Moruo never expected. The home they had lived in for nearly half a century was now empty.
This building is always quiet. This was the first time we came to Dalian and passed by Gorky Road. Director Xu told us that it was not like some buildings that were dilapidated due to no one living in them, or that had become a place to buy scraps. Director Xu pointed it out to us as he introduced it, and we saw that it was clean, neat, calm and elegant. This is the unique temperament that the owner and the owner of the building have accumulated over the years.
History is so cunning and weird, it feels like people from the past are still living in it. Of course, everything no longer exists, but everything still exists. Time has its traces. Seeing it, people will naturally think of Guo Moruo. Regardless of how much people in the academic world talk about him, one of his sons was shot to death during the Cultural Revolution, but the son he had with his Japanese wife has not been in contact with him since old age. As a father, his heart must be desolate.
Take a tour bus and cross Gorky Road, and you can also see the plane trees in front of the small building. Almost every sycamore tree requires two people to hug it. The tour guide said that these sycamore trees are about a hundred years old. It is now mid-May, and the lush sycamore leaves on both sides of the road meet in the middle of the road. The leaves and branches intersect, completely covering a several-kilometer-long avenue. The rays of sunlight shining through the leaves become gentle and delicate. No matter whether the sun is blazing or the heat is scorching, there is always a cool breeze under the sycamore trees on Gorky Road. The tour guide told us that the leaves of the phoenix tree stay green for a particularly long time. Even after the beginning of winter, more of the trees are still full of leaves, showing the unique style of the trees and leaves in winter.

The blue sky and wide sea make people nostalgic and sentimental for Dalian. On the beach in Dalian, I picked up 47 colorful river pebbles as a commemoration of my 47th birthday. I once wrote in my QQ message: "Let's take a look at the sea." "Look at the sea" was the first four words I saw on a calligraphy work. It is full of philosophy and looks like an old jar. Old wine is full of tension and has profound meaning. On the eve of the National Day in 2009, when we arrived at the seaside of Beidaihe, my wish came true. This time at the Dalian seaside, I saw the blue sky and clear water. Sitting on the beach, the sea breeze blows, and my whole body is blown into sea water by the sea breeze. I recall that in the autumn of 1984, I was assigned to teach in a junior high school behind the mountains. I walked into the mountains and thought about the sea. The sea is a broad world in my heart, representing a realm and a broad mind. Over the years since then, whenever I encountered setbacks, I would think of looking forward to the seaside. I firmly believe that the sea can bring us courage, soothe our tired and depressed souls in the hustle and bustle of the world, and cleanse our worldly and dusty mood.
We came to a huge rock protruding toward the sea and looked around. We saw seagulls soaring and sometimes skimming over the water; below our feet, the waves were surging and the waves were roaring. I immediately remembered Cao Cao's poem: "Landing the Jieshi in the east, I can see the vast sea. The water is so sluggish, and the mountains and islands are towering." The sea can not only purify the heart, but also bring us great courage and a big mind. Only if you come to the sea in person, Standing on the rocks, you can experience the impact of waves.
For two nights after that, everyone went to the beach in groups of three or five to listen to the waves, sitting quietly on the rocks and listening: sometimes the waves hit the shore, sometimes the waves crashed, and sometimes the sea breeze brought the smell of the sea. ..... No matter how many pursuits, calculations, calculations, and worries in this world, they can be resolved, melted, and crushed in the sound of the waves...
We take off our shoes and socks , rolled up his trouser legs, walked on the beach by the sea, and let the waves lick his feet. On the seaside of Dalian, there are strange colored stones, which are washed smooth and shiny by the waves. The natural textures of many colored stones coincide with the strokes of Chinese characters, such as "Feng", "Shou", "Nian", "大", etc. If a tourist picks up this one, happiness comes from the stone, wealth comes from the stone, and peace comes from the stone. , which means auspiciousness and is full of commemorative significance. The tour guide told us that last year, a middle-aged couple discovered a colorful stone while riding in the waves. Colored stones can be held in both hands. They are round and round, with bright texture, green and yellow, and clear texture. In addition, judging from the texture, it seems that there are four words "life and prosperity", which makes it a priceless treasure. Later, a tourist offered to keep it for 10,000 yuan, but was politely rejected. After listening to the tour guide's words, everyone became serious, but most of the river pebbles we picked up were the size of eggs. From the texture, we can only describe them in one word. It seems that the treasure is really rare.
Lying in bed that night, I laid the colored stones I picked up during the day on the bed one by one to identify them with my companions. Some are clear and moist, like a girl's skin; some are bluish in the light, as if cut from the blue sky; some are stained with blood, which should be called bloodstone; some are green and red, with a wavy texture; some are round and square, It can be used to carve seals... Each colored stone reflects the temperament of Dalian sea water: clean, clear, blue, and tolerant... I am quite serious, the heavy river pebble colored stones Wrap them in two packages with coated paper and put them in a travel bag. Even though the journey was bumpy and bumpy, they still carried them home without leaving. This is also my best nostalgia for the sea and Dalian.
The late writer San Mao often mentioned the scene of searching for rocks on the beach in his works. Sanmao went to the beach to pick up a basket of stones that looked like the ones he wanted, and went home to add paint and lines. Each of the dumb stones suddenly appeared alive, laughing, crying, sitting up or standing, some were silly, some were silly. Silly, some are quiet and funny, some are naughty... After completing these works of art, Sanmao was initially elated, and his relatives and friends were also proud to get Sanmao's "works", or stretched out their hands. Begging, or sneaking. But one day Sanmao discovered that the river pebbles that originally had spiritual energy had turned into idiots, so she put the stones she picked up back into the sea.
Now I understand the story of "Three Hairs Picking Up Stones". After I moistened the river pebbles I picked up with a basin of water, I found that these colored stones were not as beautiful and vivid as when I picked them up. I think Sanmao must have discovered that every stone is a child of the sea, so he put the stones back into the sea. When a child leaves his mother or a pebble leaves the sea, his expression becomes dull and lifeless. Only when they return to the sea and accept the long baptism of sea water year after year and day after day can they truly complete their lifelong journey. Compared with Sanmao, I put river pebbles in my bag and brought them to this water-scarce world. It seems that I did something wrong. I can only say I'm sorry in my heart. I wonder if the sea has heard it? !
The story of Dalian makes us think a lot.
Dalian has left us with so many emotions.
Dalian has endless dreams.
Dalian is always in the dim light!
