He studied seal cutting with Li Duo, Luo Shuhuan, Kang Yin and Yang Dajun. Its seal cutting is based on the ancient seal, with the participation of Han and India, Zhejiang and Anhui, especially the works of Zhao, Wu Changshuo. Calligraphy seal cutting works were selected for the 3rd and 4th National Calligraphy Seal Cutting Exhibition, the 3rd National Young and Middle-aged Calligraphy Seal Cutting Exhibition and the 1st and 2nd National Seal Cutting Art Exhibition. He is the author of Records of Stone Carvings, Fa Tie, Selected Prints by Zhao Haiming, Printing Art, Seal Cutting Knowledge and Techniques, Caigendao, Zhao Haiming's Calligraphy Seal Cutting Collection and Inscription Collection. Among them, he planned to edit and publish "The Essence of Inscriptions in the National Library of China" (eight volumes), and won the 13th China Book Award, the 1st China Calligraphy Lanting Award, the Editing and Publishing Award and the Outstanding Book Award in Wenbo Archaeology respectively.
Calligraphy works and published works are promoted by famous artists such as Qi Gong, Shen Peng, Ouyang Zhongshi, Li Gangtian, Liu Bingsen and Li Duo.
His biography has been included in Dictionary of Famous Calligraphers in China, Dictionary of Calligraphers in China, Notes on Printed Names in China and Yearbook of Printing Research in China.
