Wang Xianzhi (344-386) was born in Huiji, Yinshan (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang). He was also an official slave, Han nationality, and his ancestral home was Langjia Linyi (now lanshan district, Linyi, Shandong). A famous calligrapher, poet and painter in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the seventh son of Wang Xizhi, a book sage, and the husband of Sima Yu in Jian Wendi. In order to distinguish it from Wang Min, the official secretariat is called "Da Ling" and is also called "Two Kings" with his father Wang Xizhi. It is also called "Little Saint". He, Zhang Zhi, Zhong You and Wang Xizhi are also called "the four saints in the book".

He has served as a state master book, a doctor, a long history of Situ, a satrap, and an official secretary, and has successively married Princess Mao and Princess Xin 'an. In the 11th year of Taiyuan (386), Wang Xianzhi died at the age of 43 [1]. In the first year of Long 'an (397), Shi Zhong, Te Jin, Dr Guanglu and Tai Zai were awarded the title of "Xian" by posthumous title.

Wang Xianzhi was smart and studious since childhood, good at cursive and official scripts, and also good at painting. He practiced calligraphy with his father since childhood, and later took Zhang Zhi to innovate himself. He is famous for running script and cursive script, but he also has a deep foundation in regular script and official script. Zhang Huaiguan rated his calligraphy as the first in the book review.
