Chaozhou is rich in humanities, and it was called "Eight Sages" and "Seven Skirts" in ancient times. Lu Zhuxi is one of the "Seven Skirts" from Hongzhi to Zhengde in Ming Dynasty. Lu Zhuxi was buried in Yingshan Village, Phosphorus Creek, Chaozhou, next to Lu Xiufu's tomb.

Lu Zhuxi, whose real name is Lu Dace, is a scholar. Zhu Xi is his pseudonym and a descendant of Lu Xiufu, a famous figure in the late Song Dynasty. It is said that he was admitted to Jinshi, and he gave up his official career because of his lofty character, weak fame and fortune, dissatisfaction with the corruption of state affairs. He lives in Pifang Village, the eastern suburb of Yixi Town, Xiangqiao District, and makes a living by farming. In his spare time, he specializes in poetry and calligraphy, and his fonts are bold and vigorous. There are many four Chinese characters in his handwriting, the tail of Changli Road in Chaozhou, and the memorial archway of Sheng Lang, commonly known as the pavilion. There is also an interesting story. Legend has it that Lu Zhuxi was poor all his life. When his daughter married in Chaozhou City, he had no money to make a dowry, so he put a lot of calligraphy and painting in a flower box as his daughter's dowry. Later, a company wanted to build "Job Langfang" and sent someone to ask Lu Zhuxi to write the name of the memorial arch, but he died, and the relevant parties felt very sorry! But people won't stop there. Instead, they tried to find his handwriting and cut it together. After hearing about the dowry he gave his daughter, they picked out the words "Yue, Bo, Province and Lang" from a large number of calligraphy in his daughter's house, making it a seamless whole and becoming a great landscape for later generations!
