Yu Jackie Chan.
Yu Chenglong (September 26, 1617 - May 31, 1684), courtesy name Beiming and nickname Yushan, was born in Yongning Prefecture, Shanxi Province (now Fangshan County, Luliang City, Shanxi Province). In the early Qing Dynasty, he was a famous minister and official. In the 18th year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1661), Yu Chenglong was appointed as the magistrate of Luocheng County. During his tenure, he clearly guaranteed the system, so that the people lived and worked in peace and contentment and worked hard to cultivate the land.
In the sixth year of Kangxi (1667), Yu Chenglong was promoted to the magistrate of Hezhou, Sichuan. Later he moved to serve as the Tongzhi and the prefect of Huangzhou Prefecture in Huguang, and successively served as acting prefect of Wuchang, inspector of Fujian, chief envoy, governor and governor.
In the 20th year of Kangxi's reign (1681), he went to Beijing for an audience and was promoted to governor of Jiangnan and Jiangxi. In the twenty-third year of Kangxi's reign (1684), the imperial court ordered Yu Chenglong to take charge of the political affairs of the governors of Jiangsu and Anhui. He died in office soon after. He was posthumously given the posthumous title "Qingduan" by Emperor Kangxi as the crown prince's Taibao. There are eight volumes of "Yu Qing Duan Zheng Shu" and other works handed down to the world.
Yu Chenglong's personal works
Yu Chenglong is good at calligraphy and poetry. His writings and memorials were compiled by his disciples and Sun Yuzhun into the seven-volume "Yu Shan Memorial" and the eight-volume "Yu Qing Duan Gongzheng Shu". In addition, during his tenure in Zhili and Liangjiang, Yu Chenglong organized the compilation of 46 volumes of his Jifu Tongzhi and 54 volumes of Jiangnan Tongzhi, which contributed to the organization and preservation of local political, economic, and cultural materials.
